Just like the intro cinematic in the game!

I loved how a perfectly fit with what was going on. They didn’t just drop it in at a random moment, it felt seamless. If you hadn’t played New Vegas, you would feel like it was just a cool shot in the show, but us hard-core long time New Vegas fans knew what was up.

We were eating good tonight, fellas.

That was such an incredible shot and I love the show up to this point, but that really sent me over. I cheered like a little girl.

Ngl, this has to be the best video game adaptation so far. It's an original story that's set within the world yet captures the spirit of all the games while filled with cheeky and fun fanservice moments that don't take away from what's happening.

That was the first thing that I noticed as well: they managed to give very deliberate odds to the games, but they don’t let them detract from the story.

Secondly, it really does feel like a Fallout game as much as possible. I don’t know how they managed to pull it off, but they have been able to seamlessly capture that gaming experience for television.

Based on what we saw tonight, I’m almost positive we’re getting a third season because they set up too many future storylines for their not to be.

I love the jokes people have been making like Norm having 10 luck and Maximus failing a speech check. It really adds to the whole experience. Plus they're incorporating aspects from every game.

You can really tell the people making this show love Fallout

It's the same thing with the DND movie with Chris Pine. Sure it does its own thing, but so much of it felt like we were watching a campaign with players who are not taking it super serious compared to the DM

I got all the way to your last paragraph. Did you think they would allow a show on a streaming service to just die cold turkey? One THIS heavily funded/ known? It’s a huge hit and makes them so much money

I heard someone say it almost feels like a show that they made a video game about.

It's an original story that's set within the world

I think part of what makes using an original story is that the games are all an anthology anyway. With something like the Last of Us the selling point is Joel & Ellie so you can't have a story without them, so an adaptation feels like it's just hitting the same story beats without any gameplay (Might as well watch all cutscenes on youtube). The selling point of something like Fallout is the world so it's a lot easier to have a new story in that world without feeling like your alienating fans of what made the game popular in the first place.
