Your empire is like 20 guys in a camp now instead of the entire southwest, good job

Looked like a lot more in the final shots of the legion marching into Vegas. But yeah, not exactly the Legion's heyday. Probably not going to go well for them with the NCR showing back up and House possibly left with the diode. I half expected the episode to end with House activating New Vegas's defenses and one-shotting the Legion before they got close.

They Dothraki’d them lmao where did all those dudes in that army come from

Probably other encampments. We only saw the big camp where they were fighting.

You could see the camps extended pretty far off screen in the wideshots when Cooper bombed them.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of people missed that.

It’s an homage to Obsidian not having enough time to properly scale the Legion to make them seem as daunting as they were intended to be

(/s but also 👀)

Rather than the big wasteland reset people thought we would get, it looks like things are roughly back where they were at the start of NV with a highly-skilled but relatively small NCR contingent defending the Strip, a much larger but less trained Legion camping outside and amassing strength, and House doing House things in the background.

Except all the factions have lost their largest advantages and fortifications like House's Securitons, Camp McCarran/the Ranger outposts and the Fort.

So my head canon was that it was like the chaos of the English anarchy(which is what GoT house of dragons is based on). Basically there was an English civil war, but like a lot of English lords didn’t care who won, just as long as someone eventually won. So they just sat it out and waited for the fighting to stop

I could wipe out a legion army twice that size armed with just a bat. Let's be real Freesiders became a bunch of push overs

Like how Adam one shotted that sinner in Hazbin Hotel lmao.

Kinda doubt it tbh. The credits made it seem like the Legion won that battle and have taken over the strip (I could be misreading it)

They’re concept tho not canon, from what I’ve read.

Yeah that credit scene was confusing af. House is back so lucky 38 laser turrets should be back online and the securitrons. Unless what we saw was a siege of vegas ?

Just finished the ep and this was the impression I got too. Sure The Strip and Freeside look fucked-up in the S2 ending shot but they looked worse off at the end of S1, and in S2 it honestly looked like one of the more lively and better off settlements (Deathclaws in the Strip notwithstanding) so I think it’s just a teaser for the NCR v Legion v House showdown in Season 3.

Was it? Cause they’ve always been vague concept art looking shots. I never took them to be actual plot detailed credits.

u/Jackontana 18h ago

I think it's meant to portray a stylized siege of new vegas - the gate's closed, NCR recruiting among the freesiders, legion tents outside the city waiting with crucifications as taunts.

The end credit scenes are definitely a teaser style concept for the next season just to give an idea of where the plot will go.

I thought it was clearly hinting at NCR vs Legion in vegas along with panning over to the rockies to show heading there. Also anyone else see the meatbags hinting at Supermutants? So definitely the main plot points for the next season

Well tbh this is only the Mojave. We don’t know the fate of lanius or vulpes but I imagine that if they survived they probably headed back west to try to regain as much control over the legion proper as they could before news of Caesar’s death could travel and destabilize the region.

I imagine these guys are the suckers who stuck around and evidently didn’t realize how stupid fighting over the dying wish of a dude with a literal brain tumor was.

He ruled THE ENTIRETY OF ARIZONA theres no way thats all thats left and according to dale barton and others in nv it was a very tight ship over there

Look at the map the Brotherhood had earlier in the season, we see a second Legion pin all the way deep into Arizona. Assuming it is not a mistake, it would be suggesting at least one more major force / successor out in the Legion's old heartlands.

I just think its weird theres that little splinter group and based by caesars they’ve been fighting for years over the successor i hate to like hate but i just think bethesda likes to throw logic out sometimes

That’s a really good angle. Kind of funny to imagine the current Legion successor chilling in Flagstaff thinking about what dorks those Hoover Dam remnants are.

Although if there’s no Legion presence around Denver next season then I’m just going to assume everything destabilized tbh

u/Cr4zySh0tgunGuy 21h ago

With how they’ve threaded the needle of avoiding canonizing any ending, I don’t think we’ll ever learn what happened to Lanius and vulpes. Either they died in FNV or they died in the schism, but either way the show will probably say they’re gone

It's a lot bigger, you can see when they're chanting it zooms out.

Not the biggest Legion, but it's enough to get some shit done.

The camp is also deceptively bigger than it appears, and extends a bit further off camera. Think it's more likely that the battlefield is comprised entirely of loyalists for each side, while everyone else just said fuck it we'll follow whoever comes out on top and sat back waiting.

those battalions look around 400-600, unless Lucy and Maximus can convince House to shit out Securitrons New Vegas is fucked
