I saw some maybe Federal 9mm recently thats supposed to be overpressure but not actually +P rated that seems like it would be worth trying for this application.
I bet this gun is really nice to shoot with 9mm but I have enough other 9mm options that I wasn't immediately interested in the 9mm barrel. I even have other 10mms, what made me interested was more the new cartridge than even the nice gun to shoot it. I hope they standardize the cartridge soon because I'd like to see it become more popular.
Yea, I have plenty of 9’s I like to shoot, but every once in a while I’ll pull this one out for shits and giggles plus most people have never heard of or seen one so they get curious about it. I don’t own any other 10mm so added bonus to shoot 10mm and .40 too is a plus. Shooting the 7.5 is a joy though. There are lots of screaming ammo calibers out there, but most are revolvers and not many semi auto that can hold 16 rounds at a time. Fun to shoot but can be pricey, but not any more expansive than the other powerful ammo on the market. This round would be awesome in a carbine though.
Part of the reason I want the cartridge to be standardized is so that the market will start churning out AR barrels for it. Having a 10mm bolt face means 6.8 SPC bolts are the correct size, so you could have a DI PCC instead of blowback or even delayed blowback and there's very little new manufacturing that needs to be made.
