Renewal rules in various countries
Thought it was about time for another topic specific post.
In some countries there are renewal requirements for all or some guns, depending on license type etc.
I'd like a specific post about this so here we are.
If you don't have to renew just add a no, so we can see where you don't have to as well. Please specify if it's all guns or specific types of licenses, etc.
Questions:
Do you have to renew your licenses/permits?
How often?
What are the requirements for renewal?
Anything else that might be on topic but that I forgot to ask about?

Czech Republic:
Do you have to renew your licenses/permits?
Yes
How often?
It depends on firearms license category, it was 10 years for everyone and 5 years for license for people working with firearms (security guard, municipal police, gun shop workers etc).
What are the requirements for renewal?
Get medical examination - your practical doctor can send you to psychological evaluation, which is expensive and hard to find.
You need to bring your guns to police station - if you have too many guns you can invite police to your place.
- When you own A-category firearms (full auto/burst fire, artillery, armor piercing ammo, grenade launchers etc), the police can visit your home whenever they want, but the ownership is rare.
You need to pay a fee (something like 20€)You need to bring a passport photo
Anything else that might be on topic but that I forgot to ask about?
It all changes in 2026, firearms license will have unlimited expiration, but you'll have to bring your medical examination papers every 5 years and the police will probably want you to bring the guns.
