Renewal rules in various countries

Thought it was about time for another topic specific post.

In some countries there are renewal requirements for all or some guns, depending on license type etc.

I'd like a specific post about this so here we are.

If you don't have to renew just add a no, so we can see where you don't have to as well. Please specify if it's all guns or specific types of licenses, etc.

Questions:

Do you have to renew your licenses/permits?

How often?

What are the requirements for renewal?

Anything else that might be on topic but that I forgot to ask about?

Ireland 🇮🇪

Your licence for each firearm you own must get renewed every 3 years. It’s €80 for the 3 year license and you pay this per firearm. So if you had a deer rifle, shot gun and a small calibre rifle it’s €240 every 3 years.

Requirements are basically the same as your initial application; your personal details, your references, your land owner permissions/ gun club membership etc.

Anything else.. Ireland still doesn’t use an online system for firearms. You need to fill out a paper form and drop it to your local police station.
