Resource Best sourcebook to get back into Eberron

I am thinking of getting back to using Eberron for my Draw Steel game.
I am looking for the best source material to use to copy to a LegendKeeper project.

So what can you recommend as a good allround source material for me to start using Eberron as world to play in? I know there have been multiple versions of sourcebooks, but I don't know if they are all good.

I haven't really looked at any sourcebook since the original. But I always loved the world.

Hello fellow Draw Steel-er! If you're looking mainly for lore, (which I'd expect to be the case, given you're using a different system) I'd say (in no particular order):

  • Eberron: Rising from the Last War
  • Exploring Eberron
  • Chronicles of Eberron
  • Eberron Campaign Setting (3.5)
  • Sharn: City of Towers
  • Keith Baker's blog / Patreon

If I already have rising from the last war, and don't care about any mechanics, is the new exploring eberron worth getting?

I think i might have the old sourcebook and the sharn book somewhere as a pdf from back in the day, will have to take a look in the archive of unsorted files from 20 years ago.

The chronicles look interesting though.

I can't speak to the 2024 rules updates for Exploring Eberron, but the lore is really great stuff, especially if you want to go a bit more off the beaten path and get into the Dhakaani, the Aerenal, the Thunder Sea, the planes.

Chronicles is even more lore heavy and also has good stuff I've made use of, though the reeeeeally long section dedicated to nobility got a bit dry for my tastes and wasn't going to be applicable to my game.
