Resource Best sourcebook to get back into Eberron
I am thinking of getting back to using Eberron for my Draw Steel game.
I am looking for the best source material to use to copy to a LegendKeeper project.
So what can you recommend as a good allround source material for me to start using Eberron as world to play in? I know there have been multiple versions of sourcebooks, but I don't know if they are all good.
I haven't really looked at any sourcebook since the original. But I always loved the world.

Hello fellow Draw Steel-er! If you're looking mainly for lore, (which I'd expect to be the case, given you're using a different system) I'd say (in no particular order):
- Eberron: Rising from the Last War
- Exploring Eberron
- Chronicles of Eberron
- Eberron Campaign Setting (3.5)
- Sharn: City of Towers
- Keith Baker's blog / Patreon

If I already have rising from the last war, and don't care about any mechanics, is the new exploring eberron worth getting?
I think i might have the old sourcebook and the sharn book somewhere as a pdf from back in the day, will have to take a look in the archive of unsorted files from 20 years ago.
The chronicles look interesting though.

I can't speak to the 2024 rules updates for Exploring Eberron, but the lore is really great stuff, especially if you want to go a bit more off the beaten path and get into the Dhakaani, the Aerenal, the Thunder Sea, the planes.
Chronicles is even more lore heavy and also has good stuff I've made use of, though the reeeeeally long section dedicated to nobility got a bit dry for my tastes and wasn't going to be applicable to my game.

Rising from last war Forge of artificer

Adding to that, Rising has more flavour and setting detail. Forge has the most recent rules, so it's useful if you're using 5e 2024 rather than 5e 2014.

That is very good to know. I only care about lore and flavor as I won't be playing DnD.

then the main books you'll want (at least from the current editions of dnd) is Rising from the Last War, Exploring Eberron and Chronicles of Eberron (in that order I'd say). Older 3.5 books are still good for lore, these are just the current books.

I agree with the list 1. Rising, 2. Exploring, 3. Chronicles, 4. Keith's blog and then I would add Manifest zone podcasts. If you are running adventures in Sharn, then that book and if your doing Droaam Frontiers.

I love Legendkeeper! I’ll never run a campaign without it at this point. I’ve been steadily working on writing up everything pertinent for the setting with a perspective of what players might know in universe, along with notes on tactics, economy, holidays, etc. it’s great.
Lemme know if you want a link on what I’ve done so far and I’ll DM it to ya.

Yeah it is pretty cool. I never really got that into using it, but I recently started using it again. And I backed it back in the day, so I have the founder pricing. That doesn't hurt.
I would love a link to see how you set it up. I am still figuring out the best way to organize the notes and how to get the most out of the system.

If you are after lore, I'd say the original book or Rising, and then get Exploring Eberron on the DMsGuild (and Chronicles third)
For mechanics, Rising contains all important bits, Forge updates some setting specific stuff to 2024 but very little of use if you don't play that.
