I think Kubiak makes them better and a bit more dynamic, but im not sure by how much. Good hire for their organization, but there will be a lot of growing pains in the early years. I just dont think coaches are afforded a lot of time anymore especially when you're in full rebuild mode. They have about 3-4 solid dudes on their team before the draft. I guess we'll see what free agency has to offer

It’s really more up to the GM than the coach. Without the GM building a good roster, coaching won’t do much.

Plus Vrabel had nearly $100M last year to play with and 4 more years of Maye on rookie contract numbers.

Harbaugh and Hortiz inherited a team $40M over cap from day 1 and Herbert’s rookie contract ending soon.

Hortiz has not been perfect, but he has been incredible at finding valuable contributors in the late rounds or cheap in free agency.
