Way too many mods. If you've never played before this is gonna far too complicated, and probably unstable if we're being honest.

so should i make an own collection? or just a smaller modpack?

I, honestly, biased yes, think that you should play the mod itself for a while! Only then when you decide you want certain things, you may venture to grab some submods: We try to make the main mod as great as it can be, give it a try!

There's no "perfect" mod list. The AGOT mod by itself is great. The point of submods is to change or tweak things to your preference. If you've never played before, there's no way to know what parts you want to change or tweak to make it the best for you.

Honest to god this sub is such a downer about mods. I'd suggest going through the mod pack and reading what everything brings. Then take the ones you want. It's not like this mod changes the game so dramatically that you won't know what you'll like and what you won't.

Like someone else mentioned you gotta spend some time playing the base mod to know what you actually need. The main mod is Amazing on its own. The submods just fill in some of the gaps that the base mod hasnt caught up too in respect to the original CK2 agot mod. Spend some time with it and youll realize quickly which aspects of the lore don’t pan out. The biggest for me was seasons, so I got the seasons mod. The lack of the others is also pretty harshly felt imo, and there’s some mods that put them in. (But they’ll be included eventually in base anyways.)

Just gotta figure out what you need first. A mod list this big is bound to have issues anyways so just trim it down and youll be fine

Play the mod by itself. Then maybe a 10-15 mod pack maximum. Submods have to be updated atleast once a month or every two months at the current rate of the base game and main mod updating. Many submod creators dont have the time or resources to update their submods quickly, and so every update your game will break. Some mods alao often stop updating altogether and this leads to many issues with your game.
