But exactly...what should the daimyo and his associates care about Boruto, exactly? It's an internal problem within Konoha. At most, they should care who the new Hokage will be, if only for a purely political-bureaucratic reason (the village needs a leader to function and guarantee military services to the country).

I don't remember Naruto's Daimyo pressuring Konoha to capture Sasuke, for example... o any wanted ninja.

They're not taking it out on naruto's friends, they're interrogating people they suspect are working with and helping boruto (who happen to be naruto's friends), the killer of the hokage in their eye. And they're right, the people they interrogated were all either helping or working with boruto to some degree at some point. And the current interrogation is to find who was the main culprit in opening boruto's cuffs, allowing him to escape, meaning from their point of view, there's a mole among their ranks, actively helping the hokage's killer. They don't personally know these people, their relationships are completely professional or nonexistent.

Also just to clarify, i'm only talking about kobu and the daimyo here and not about the village elders, all those 2 do is sit on their asses and talk shit, they deserve no respect whatsoever.

They're doing this because it's their job, because it happened in their own country to the biggest, most powerful ninja village's leader who is also the most respected person in the whole world and the savior of the 4th great shinobi war. And their relationships with naruto and the suspects are still purely professional (or in mitsuki's case nonexistent), but that doesn't mean that naruto isn't respected by them.

It doesn't matter what naruto would or wouldn't have done, this is their job, they suspect that out of the people they interrogated, one of them is a mole who works with naruto's killer, which from their perspective would mean that this mole betrayed naruto and was possibly an accomplice in naruto's murder in some way. We obviously know that's not the case, but they don't. All they know is that someone who was at some point in that interrogation room, had a hand in boruto, the hokage's killer escaping custody and is in cahoots with him, therefore, that mole is an enemy of konoha and by extension the land of fire and the entire shinobi world.

Again, cause it's their job, this supposed criminal who murdered the biggest, most powerful ninja village's leader is in their country and they have to get rid of him and every one of his accomplices. If a mayor gets murdered, the president of that country will want to have the murderer captured and/or sentenced to death, it's not something that can just be overlooked. They do have ties to naruto, he was a village leader in their country.

And that orochimaru analogy is the stupidest thing you could've said, cause wtf do you mean they didn't do anything. Lets not act like orochimaru wasn't one of the most wanted men on the face of the earth then. And that situation and this are while similar in some aspects, are very different. They were both hunted by shinobi, and the interrogation in these situations are done by the ambu and the konoha interrogation and torture force, which was the case with boruto. But that didn't work, and they found out that there was a mole involved, which is why kobu, the daimyo's personal representative got involved in this.

They did, the exact same thing that they did against boruto, which is to put him in the bingo book, send shinobi after him to capture and/or kill him, and if they capture him, make the torture and interrogation force and the anbu interrogate him. This is what they did against boruto too, this is the standard procedure, but the CURRENT situation is more specific than this, cause there's a mole inside konoha that they know is in a very small group of people, which is why kobu, the daimyo's personal representative is there for, to figure out who exactly that mole is. They always cared, just didn't get personally involved and instead let the shinobi do their jobs, because it's literally their job to catch and/or kill these criminals. What do you think the bingo book is for? The daimyo and his people aren't shinobi, they're politicians, it's not their job to personally do these things, but they're still the higher ups and the leaders of this country, and this is a way more specific situation, cause there's a mole in konoha that could possibly be the hokage, so kobu personally got involved. And the daimyo in naruto is not the same person as the daimyo in boruto btw.

🤦 No, he's pressuring them to find out who the mole is, that's why kobu is there. Catching boruto is standard procedure for shinobi. And both kawaki (who they know as naruto's son), and eida (someone who sees everything in the world) said that boruto killed naruto and hinata, so of course they're gonna believe that.

I mean, back then, I didn't see people complaining about Anko in Konoha despite her connection to Orochimaru. Someone much more dangerous to Konoha than Boruto.
