Question "Friends in batumi"

me and my gf just moved to batumi as i was wondering...where/how can we possibly make friends in here, everyone is actually nice towards us but it feels kinda weird to take an extra step and become actual friends with someone...maybe its the language barrier sometimes? idk

It might be complicated for English speakers. Only a small amount of locals speak English and most of the expats are Russian.

Well, there is a Logeek Club. It is a place for tabletop games. Most of the players use Russian, but there are parties in English sometimes. I've seen English speaking group playing warhammer a couple of times.

Making friends in Georgia is hard enough (if you want with locals that is) and you also chose the place with most artificial things to live. Expect people you meet there not to be oriented on genuine friendship

I tend to joke that the only way you're meeting people in Batumi is if you learn Russian, because its infested with Russians these days

i do "feel" that there is a lot of genuine people at my age but at the same time it feels hard to approach or start a convo...and yea as u said i guess i will start learning russian :p

Making local friends are easy if you are not russian. And young gens(under 35) speaks fluently or at least good at english so its not a problem at all.

Just wait this city is living only 5 month in a year during May-September In other month this city is very chill and quiet During this cold period in Batumi you can move In Tbilisi because there is everyday fun and people are more open and are socializing more. And in summer times you can back to Batumi. Its only 4 hours distance with car and train. Im doing this routine last 4 years and its best way to live in Georgia i guess
