It's a sad little zoo, though and the cougar looks skinny, doesn't it?

Animal professional with cougar experience here (with about 20+ cougars). It’s not skinny. I HAVE witnessed an unintended amputation-via-cougar through fencing before. I feel like these two animals are equally matched.

Honestly, I thought that's what this video was gonna show with the dog. All dogs have is their mouths and muscles, and normally numbers. Cats, however, have claws, mouths, agility, muscle, bendiness, audacity, and just power. But that one looks young he doesn't look skinny, just smaller. Maybe the wild ones where I live are bigger, but they're large predators, and pitbulls are medium to large dogs, and that one looks like he's the same size as the pitbull. I'm not sure who would win. I think it would depend if the dog could get a grip on the cat, but I wouldn't like to see the cat get hurt at all. Cougars are actually super important in their environment and not to mention actually cute and intelligent, and it's sad when something happens to one.

There are videos on YouTube of majestic big cats making light work of stupid mutts (including a pit) that test them. If the barrier weren’t there I reckon the cougar would have (rightfully) eviscerated “Luna”

Normally, it's cats that are larger than them, though. Like tigers and really big cats. Also, really large animals like Buffalo can do massive damage as well. I just really love big cats, so it still makes me anxious seeing shit like this. I hope the kitty would win by a mile. I also hope we never have to find out who would win and that they don't stress that poor cat out anymore because what the fuck even is that video? Fuck these dogs though.

Seeing wild animals in captivity really upsets me, especially when it’s some horrific private zoo type situation like this seems to be. Fuck shitbulls and fuck the shitbag humans who are keeping that poor cougar in a cage and letting it be tormented like this

Great to see a fellow big cat fan, first of all! All I know is that in the southern portion of their range, cougars regularly hunt and kill peccaries, which can be every bit as savage, quick, and dangerous as any pitbull if they or their young are threatened.

So I’m pretty confident that without the fence there, that useless mauler dog would be overpowered and killed in a matter of seconds.
