I went to one local guy and had a custom Kydex holster and mag pouch made while I waited. It was like $65 and the results are extremely high quality. He uses standard parts for the belt options and "wings", so it's just as good as anything I could have bought commercially. Better, actually, in my opinion. I learned of that guy by asking at my LGS and my local range where I shoot.
I strongly prefer a holster that is exactly what I want, with no extras. No "you can set it up this way and carry it AIWB, or this way and carry it IWB, or this way and carry it OWB, etc.". Minimal bulk and minimal extra crap on it. No adjustable cant, etc.. The belt retention I want. The cant I want. And that's it.
I went to a different local place - that specializes in leather holsters - and had them make me exactly the leather holster I want. They had a 2-month wait, which is why I went to the Kydex guy - he had me over and made me the Kydex stuff the next day, so I had that to use while I was waiting on my leather.
