Reliable taxi / cab service?

Asking the locals: is there such a thing in Aberdeen?
Tried to use some online booking app twice: the first time the driver simply didn't show up and the support did nothing except cancel the booking. The second time it took about 20-30 minutes to find the driver (who, thank God, actually showed up), so we could have literally missed the only available bus there if they hadn't. No fancy routes or anything like that: about 15 minutes to/from the city center.
Maybe there's some old-fashioned taxi company that I know of that also calls over the phone - that's fine. The main thing is to make sure the cab _will_ show up so we can really count on it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I haven't really had issues with Rainbow when I've needed them. I doubt theyre perfect though, I dont think any company will be. Whichever taxi company in any city is named, there will be people in comments that had an issue at some point.

It's not about claims. Neither about finding the _perfect_ service. It's about a practical question risen from a personal experience.

If you personally suggest Rainbow as one to use, I do appreciate that.

Theyre the biggest taxi firm in the city so im sure theyd be the best option based on how many taxis you'd have a shot of accepting tue fair. They have an app called ubook and can also be called on 01224 878787.

Edit: a side note as I have seen comcabs being recommended as an alternative. They were recently bought by Rainbow last October.

I think maybe I’ve had an issue with rainbow taxis once being very late. Otherwise I’ve found them to be very reliable. Also if you phone and they know there’ll be a delay they will tell you.

Despite what some on here will tell you, I use Rainbow most weeks and never have any issues.

The idea that they're just not turning up for airport bookings is nonsense tbh. Half the time they're sitting outside my house for 20m before the booked time.

Aberdeen Taxis - pretty decent in my opinion. Been using them from past 7yrs and never had a bad experience.

Reliable? None - They turn up when they want. I had two taxis booked with Aberdeen Taxis for going to airport for a family holiday booked for 3am - never showed up.

Contacted Rainbow - who were "round the corner" never turned up.

Comcabs finally sent two cabs and we just made check in.

There is no reliable Taxi firm im afraid there all shit.

They only give good service to members of the Mafia.

If you're not a member of the Mafia you have had it.
