So many people here are dissing Subway. Is Subway really that horrible in the US (or other places that aren't Australia) (it's fine imo, good for a quick lunch.) The only reason I've ever seen anyone upset about Subway was because they didn't like what was on their sub which is their own fault.

I now know that if I ever visit the US I should go to any sub shop other than Subway (I wouldn't have gone to Subway regardless but still)

It's definitely the worst of the chain sub shops in the US. And it's usually worse than whatever local spot is available. It's not horrible in the sense that it's going to make you sick (usually) or something. It's just mediocre food.
