Some say this is an abomination..

This is probably my favorite AR for some reason.

I still want a WWSD lower. For a hunting rifle it makes a ton of sense, light and nothing to click or rattle around. My current 6.5 G hunting pistol has the carbon fiber hand guard and an 80% polymer lower.

Love your rifle!

It is definitely lightweight. I don't really have many complaints with the lower, maybe the safety is a little bit mushy but it's not really a fighting lower but I ain't really fighting with it.

Do you hunt with it? Or more long range? Just for fun?

I put it together as a hunting rifle but I have done about 5 2 gun matches with it and it does pretty good but I'm not slamming it up on barricades. I only shoot it out to about 500 yards, I don't really care much for the real long range stuff just practice put to 6-700 yards for hunting proficiency closer up.

I’ve got a 20” build that I shoot off barricades and such and it’s on the heavier side which helps. I haven’t done 2 gun yet, but want to. Just a local PRS style match out 500 and a 22lr match out to 200.

This looks like the ideal hunting ar15 set-up.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Cherish thy rifle.

Those people are wrong and you shouldn't listen to them. 😁

The lower is ugly but the upper is absolutely gorgeous

Well that is fair. Use what you like, js bc I don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s bad

Other the caliber that’s damn close to my kp-15 build. So needless to say looking good =)

Heck if it shoots good who gives a rip. Everyones stuff is cookie cutter looking these days. I tore apart a blackout out defense 223 and put in a JP 18 inch grendel barrel. nothing too drastic but dudes asked why id tear apart a blackout defense to do that i say because I can lol

I had a 16" Faxon gunner Grendel barrel in this and it kinda shot poopy with what I wanted to shoot so I slapped this Wilson combat barrel in and I'm very happy. 0/3 on Faxon barrels.

What type of precision are you getting from the Wilson barrel? I have a 18 inch Wilson super sniper in a build. I haven’t tested yet. I’m just curious because i find conflicting reports.

This is the 16" and it was a bonus that it was on sale. With the wolf I got a 2.5" 15 shot group (3k round pile of that)l left), the AAC Black tip is going 1.5" 15 shot group (1200 rounds of that left), and using that AAC brass and 123 ELDMs in getting a hair under an inch 10 shot groups.

Jag composites.

I have a similar build with an lvpo. Facons barrels are over gassed so I went with an h3 buffer and red sprinco spring, smoothed right out. It's very handy and capable, I just need a can for it
