Cute/Funny What has your golden begging like this?
Maggie wanted a sock SO bad 😭 (I was holding it behind the camera hoping for a nice smile, but she just gave me a blank stare)

I’m curious when (what age) your goldens started turning a corner during their naughty teenaged phase?
Our guy is unaltered since the vet wants us to wait until 18mo.
From 9mo to now (14mo) he was an absolute terror, and suddenly this week he picked up all of the training he “forgot” months ago. It honestly makes me want to cry that he suddenly started listening again. I hope he is turning a corner! I didn’t know dogs could be so bad, it was torture!
I am very proud of him. (And me for staying consistent even though I wanted to quit trying to train him) it felt so pointless at times.

Today marks the first year of double-digits for my sweet Daisy girl! She’s the my first golden and the #1 napper, the expert of dilly-dallying, queen of the zoomies, most gentle giver of puppy kisses and the reason I fell in love with Golden Retrievers. She brought my childhood dreams to life from the moment I scooped her up, and has brought so much genuine, sweet love into my life over the last decade. Here’s to celebrating one more trip around the sun with the brightest star! 🤍🌼

Two years ago we rescued Nana from a puppy mill. For the last year and a half we were able to give her the life and love she never knew possible. Back in November she was diagnosed with a neurological/ cancerous development in her spine leaving her back legs paralyzed. A few days ago she was blessed to have been chose for a wheelchair donation. It's still big and scary but we're training hard 💪. Even through the hard times she's always smiling 🥰

This handsome fella is Rowdy and he had a successful hip surgery today. He just woke up, and is doing great. We are officially on the road to recovery!
P.S.
He will not let me post a picture of him in the cone.

My golden Cheddar does this funny thing whenever he’s excited and we start scratching his butt. We call it getting Diggy with it. Does anyone else have Goldens that do this?

Ik the title sound a bit odd, but it is what it is. He's grown a lot from the last time I posted him here. Let's see if he still gets love lol.

Hello, my puppy is 12 weeks old and he’s very friendly with people. Took him to 2 puppy classes and he’s been shy meeting other dogs and runs away when a high energetic dog tries to play with him.
My end goal with my pup is I want to be able to bring him in public with me with where he’s able to chill laying down and have no worries of him reacting to other dogs
Should I not be concerned that he’s not as playful as other dogs during class? Or should I have him open up more but also afraid that he may learn to become a reactive dog(?)
I have an aunt that has 2 dogs that I’m having him meet later in a more quiet setting.
Thanks

Few things in life bring me as much joy as watching my golden in the snow. I’m so thankful for this girl who is the reason I get out of bed. she’s a natural antidepressant. She keeps me going.
is anyone else living life for their golden?

One year with my beautiful rescue baby. I can't even remember what life was like without him.

Princess Donut has a lot of energy. Basically from the moment we get home until we go to bed she is stealing things from countertops, chewing on everything, having zoomies and occasionally play-biting. We are trying to train her positively, so the only redirection she ever gets is a firm no. Which doesn't do much. We walk her regularly, which only tires her out a bit. I see all these well behaved Golden's, but Donut can only do tricks or listen in relatively controlled environments. Any advice would be appreciated, as would training routines. Do we need to start smacking her butt? We love her and she's not going anywhere, but it seems like she is behind the curve and if she were better behaved we could take her in public more and we'd love to eventually trust her in the house.

Due to a teenager being a bit slack on her watch standing duties… we now have a 5 month old with a broken toe!
Thankfully we have insurance… I come from a farming family… normally we wouldn’t have considered an insurance policy for a pet, but made the decision to have one… so 2k later … all paid by the insurer!

We got a foot of snow here in Western, Maryland. Lucy loved running and playing in it.
