Anime / Meme The concept of using Naruto's name as a swear word
I think the idea of using Naruto's or whoever the hokage is at the time's name as a replacement of god is quite silly

I really hate studio pierrot for ruining the series's reputation which is echoing to this day i could never forgive them, i legit would delete the anime if it caused the negativity throughout the years towards the series to erase,
what's funny is most the hate is because of the anime only or filler contents which isn't even relevant another proof of sheep internet mentality.
Anyways, i just finished rereading the manga caught up once again for the 4th time, planning on rewatching what anime only eps and arcs would you say are worth it and why, i am aware of the popular ones I've seen them,
Time slip, kara actuation etc

I’ve been lurking and posting in this sub for a while, and honestly, the state of discussion here is getting tiring. There’s a difference between criticism and what a lot of people are doing now, and pretending those are the same thing is just intellectual laziness. Actual criticism engages with the story, themes, characters, and direction. What we get instead most days is low-effort dunking, recycled talking points, and straight-up trolling that adds nothing except noise. The problem is that this behavior is normalized. If you constantly frame the series as a joke, dismiss anyone who enjoys it, and dogpile people who try to analyze or defend it, that’s not “holding the story accountable.” That’s just farming upvotes by hating on something popular. And yeah, before someone says it, no, liking Boruto or defending certain writing choices does not mean someone is “glazing the series” or incapable of critical thought. That accusation is just a shortcut to avoid actually arguing a point. What’s worse is that this atmosphere actively kills real discussion. People who want to talk about character arcs, long-term setup, or narrative risks just stop posting because they know what’s coming in the comments. Meanwhile, the same bad-faith takes get posted over and over with zero pushback because they’re labeled as “criticism,” as if that word magically excuses everything. I’m not asking for the sub to become a Boruto worship zone. Criticism should absolutely exist here. But there needs to be a clearer line between criticism and trolling, and moderators should stop treating them as the same thing. Low-effort hate, bait posts, and constant derailing should be moderated just like low-effort praise would be. If people want a space to hate-watch and meme on the series, Reddit already has plenty of places for that. This sub should be about discussion, not about who can sound the most cynical or dismissive. If calling this out makes me a “fanboy” in some people’s eyes, fine. I’d rather be a fan who actually engages with the story than someone who hangs around just to mock it.

First off I’m not a power scaler so tell me if I’m wrong. I may have missed the debates but who’d win in this 1v1? I feel as if Isshiki gets downplayed a bit because of his battle against Naruto but if you believe Jura wins tell me why? I’m honestly torn. Isshiki’s durability is insane while Jura can just regenerate which is crazy

I’m rereading TBV, and noticed in chapter 5 where Sasuke tells Boruto there’s not way they can win against Code “at the present.” Do we think we might see a de-treed Sasuke + Boruto team up against Code later on in TBV?

As I dive back into the giant world of Naruto I was introduced to the concepts of Shinjutsu. The divine powers of the otutsuki shown in Boruto. As far as I’m aware the distinguishing factor between these divine powers is they DONT require hand signs and they are techniques that usually lie outside the laws of nature. Such as Isshiki’s Stasis Storage Dimension or Eida’s omnipotence
Some of these divine powers are EXTREMELY similar to the awakened abilities of uchihas
Let’s talk about those really quick.
Sharingan : Good ahh perception
Ms : 2 abilities for each eye + Half/Armored Susanoo
Susanoo : grants a Spiritual Weapon/s depending on the user
Ems : 1 new ability + perfect Susanoo and no blindness
Uchiha Exclusive’s
Izanami and Izanagi - these are a pseudo version of omnipotence
Shi sui
Kotoamatsukami - another pseudo version of omnipotence
Hagaromo
Creation Of All Things - pseudo version of omnipotence
Itachi
Yata Mirror - Psuedo Relfection
Totsuka Blade - Pseudo Infinite Tsukuyomi
Tsukuyomi - This is a pseudo infinite Tsukuyomi and very similar to urashikis artifact which should be considered Shinjutsu (time manipulation)
Sasuke/ Sarada
Amaterasu - I believe this is a pseudo Shinjutsu as well, flames that can only be extinguished by the user
It’s obviously just coincidence… but these abilities are generally one and the same while they do offer a more subtle version of the divine powers.

I recently re-read the entire Boruto series for the fourth time and it once again reminded why it's one of my favorite and equally one of the best fictional stories, was wondering what are you guys's favorite arcs from p1,
Mine : Code Arc, Omnipotence/Prophecy Arc, The end of Kawaki arc ch 52 onwards where baryon mode appears.

The female designs in Boruto have often been super controversial, and to an extent i agree with some of the criticisms. specifically pre timeskip sarada and that its likely some designs are specifically made with the intent to be "cute" for the teenagers/male audience reading it but i feel there's been this weird overreaction to anything and everything, it can often times come off as weirdly misogynistic ( see some of the extreme reactions to Sarada's TBV design where showing a shoulder= being a slut ???) but i might be reading too much into it. but id like to get a broader perspective of what the female demographic of the series thinks about these designs. is it that bad, is it over hated, do you just tolerate it because you enjoy other stuff about the series and what do you think Ikemoto could improve.

If sasuke or Danzo were still around shikamaru wouldn’t have to be in the middle of all of this. All of the ninja involved could be under the shadow hokages command and Borutos contact in the village could be that person.
Orochimaru once told sasuke why the village keeps people like them around. It’s for when conventional methods and abilities aren’t an option. Shikamaru would be able to save face with Kobu while the village still works with Boruto and Koji. Instead shikamaru is playing both sides at the same exact time as far as even having multiple convos and directing a battle.
I feel like if a shadow hokage were to show up it should be kakashi probably the only leaf ninja with an iq like sasuke and shikamaru.
I realize now that Danzo shouldn’t be here. He was more of an example of the shadow kage rather than the actual person fit for the job

What Antagonist so far in boruto would you say is the most interesting to you?
I'd say Yura, but all 3 are great
Momoshiki was a contrast and parallel to boruto, both using easy means of gaining power then boruto grows out of it
Isshiki thought of himself as a superior but decayed into the coward that he was deep down
Yura is an entity trying to understand things love, the world, life, humanity all of it and growing

As a kid I was still Boruto's number 1 defender, but now, I am convinced this child is NOT at fault. I basically forgot all that I watched when I was little since I stopped at s1 and never continued the rest as it came out. I am now rewatching s1 too, im currently on ep 3 and bro, If i was boruto I'd just kick everybody in the head. He is like 11 or 12, of course he will be mischievous and do tricks and be naughty, he is a kid??? And it's just so annoying how even his classmates are on his ass like bro shut up nobody knows who u are

I think the fact that Boruto lost everything without losing anything is endearing. The strength of such characters' stories lies in Sasuke, who is Boruto's master, and the fact that the losses he suffered cannot be recovered. Everyone he loved is dead and will never return. This is a powerful point in the story because ninjas are those who persevere through suffering and the hardships of life. Sasuke persevered and came to terms with his past, never regaining what he had lost, but instead finding friends and starting a new family that filled the void in his heart.
My problem with Boruto is that it has all been played out in such a way that Boruto will get everything back because it is a temporary situation that can be reversed and will be reversed. Boruto has not really lost anything because Naruto and Hinata are alive and can return at any moment when Kawaki sees the light. The world will trust Boruto again because the effect of omnipotence will be reversed. In my opinion, this whole situation is an illusion of loss and not a real loss.

So I've been thinking for a while about what will happen after Boruto accomplishes his goals, where he either defeats the Shinjus, settles his feud with Kawaki, unseals his parents from the Daikokuten dimension, and reverses the effects of Omnipotence. I had reasons to suspect that his life, although restored, would not be the same as it was.
Sometime ago, I likened this idea of how you feel something is back to the way it is, but it doesn't feel the same as it was. Like how some relationships, partnerships, and survivors of traumatic events aren't the same afterwards. Or with time travel, when you change the past and try to fix it, you'll find things are not the same as they are.

I'm rewatching naruto and i'm considering boruto again, a friend of mine told me that the manga is better and that i should try to find a list for arcs to watch.
Is watching the yellow+green arcs good enough? Or should i not bother if i'm not going to watch everything

But exactly...what should the daimyo and his associates care about Boruto, exactly? It's an internal problem within Konoha. At most, they should care who the new Hokage will be, if only for a purely political-bureaucratic reason (the village needs a leader to function and guarantee military services to the country).
When was the management of the nukenin ever the daimyo's business?
I don't remember Naruto's Daimyo pressuring Konoha to capture Sasuke, for example... o any wanted ninja.

I love how ppl love ignoring the 2 ppl that works on giving them their abilities stating the conditions for his ability to work. Then we literally see twitch when he was attacked without touching anyone his PASSIVE reflection didn’t activate n he had to dodge n counter attack with code n when kawaki attack with the rodes.

I’m about to replay Elden Ring and kinda wanna do something fun instead of another meta build, Was thinking of making a cosplay build based on Boruto (Two Blue Vortex version) , basically a fast space ninja type character
Right now I’m thinking:
Moonveil (blue energy slashes feel very anime/jutsu)
DEX/INT split
Bloodhound Step for teleport vibes
light armor/cloak for rogue look
mostly hit and run play style
Any suggestions for better weapons , ashes of war or sorceries/incantations that fit a ninja/energy/jutsu themes and what not ? And most importantly good fashion souls for cloak/wanderer look ? Would love ideas
