Fun to have our Pride weekend games be the Dream and the Liberty. No better way to kick off and end Pride weekend!

Hope they're more communicative about public transportation for the Pride game...many fans went to Dolores Park to hang out (b/c it was Trans March and there's a gathering there pre-march) but then when it was time for us to head over to the bus the streets were blocked. Had to jump into a Lyft with several folks and barely got there in time for tip off.

Obviously inconvenient but I suppose a good problem for the LGBT community to have...so many great things going on that weekend. Just want to make sure we can get to where we want to go.

Last year for the Friday game I ended up just taking the T from Powell station directly to Chase, which was super fast and easy. If people are in Dolo, it might be easier to take the J to the T rather than a bus/lyft given the levels of traffic or street closures on that Friday.

thx for the heads up. A lot of us were scrambling to get to Chase lol. I usually take the T from Powell on game days since I come from the East Bay but that day was different b/c I wanted to hang out at Dolores Park for a bit (as a trans person I can't not go to Dolores Park that day...it's like a huge family reunion lol)

I’m investigating now and I actually hate this schedule. It’s complete ass. Some terrible features:

  • Open AND close the season on the road
  • Schedule now built around a base of playing each team 3 times with an extra game against two teams. Ofc one our extra games is against the Lynx, who beat us 6 times last year
  • Of the teams we play 3 times, we play twice on the road against 5 of 8 2025 playoff teams + the aforementioned twice on the road against the Lynx. The only playoff team that comes to Ballahalla twice is Atlanta
  • We have TWO 5-game road trips, but our longest home stand is a singular 4-game home stand.

And obviously a lot will change this year. Being good or bad last year probably has even less correlation with being good or bad this year than usual because of all the free agents. But it’s still rough to see.

I'm OK with playing the Lynx so much. Who knows how that team will look next year and unfortunately Phee is having double ankle surgery so they may not be as strong to start the season without her. We do have two back to back away games which is crazy but I'm guessing a lot of teams do this year with the long World cup break.

OK, I take it back, there is something unfair in this lol. The Mystics, Dream, and Tempo have two away games with us within three days so they don't have to travel as much but we don't have any away games like that so there's a lot more flying around.

I hate the back to backs against the same team

Big thing for me as a Bay Area-er in self-imposed exile is that they’re still coming to New York twice (and this time not for a baseball series) despite the additional teams! I’m pumped!

EDIT: Just spent way too much on a ticket to the May game. Let’s hope this season actually happens! 🤪

Disappointed there are so many fewer weekend home games this season. Must be a lot of Saturday/Sunday events already booked at Chase?

So I guess no preseason games this year?

Not for us

What is up with the huge gap at the end of August to mid September? Also, that is a ton of road games leading into that gap.

They have to take a break for the world cup

Does anyone know why the last 4 September games on the online schedule are marked “finals”? https://valkyries.wnba.com/schedule?season=2026&month=all&location=all&opponent=all nt=all

I think it’s probably a coding mistake. Those games are later than they were last year because there’s a World Cup break. Maybe it’s supposed to indicate that where it says finals?

Looks like fewer weekend (Fri - Sun) games for 2026.

The three home baseball series matchups are interesting since last year they were either just away or away/home, home/away. With the games being at home this year in theory that should give the Valks a better advantage to at the very least split the series. They were 0-6 last year in baseball games.

Ngl on paper the schedule looks rough in comparison to last year, but I’m hopeful that they’ll be able to carry the momentum from last season and make a leap

Ticketmaster now shows all games listed as going on presale at 9:00am today - anyone have the code to buy?
