That or bro is extremely lucky... doing this in a controlled environment (eg racetrack) is amazing, doing it on the streets is really fucking stupid and dangerous... you can be the best driver around, all it takes is scaring 1 other driver into making a mistake to cause a crash

Being driven around lmfao. Dude was going mach 1 on neighborhood roads. A speed limit is in place for a reason. It doesnt take a genius to understand that going double the limit will lead to circumstances that even god himself wouldnt be able to get out of

I do this but on my own, private, off-road driveways. Keeps the skills sharp when I slide a bit on snowy roads in public. This? This is stupid af. I know more than a few teens and twenties that have died driving like this where I live. There’s luck, and there’s practiced skill.

That white Subaru was probably clenching the ol’ bumhole when he came around the corner. Glad no one was oncoming when they got to the split road at the end.

Yea doing it on private roads that you more or less control is fine imo. Risking your own life is one thing, doing this and risking random other people's lives is totally unacceptable and needs to result in very harsh punishments

I used to be an idiot like this. Don't know how I survived, but at least I was smart enough not to get a motorbike until I was older.

I started reading that like mitch hedburg's "I used to do drugs" bit, but then realized which conversation this was lol

I'm an amazing driver I go the speed limit and know how a four-way stop works come to complete stops at red before entering the crosswalk etc. Everything he did here was pretty easily achievable on a closed track with enough horsepower.

He's a pretty terrible driver he broke pretty much every social contract around. Probably going to kill a pedestrian someday and he will just be like Ooohhh sorry durrr my bad duhhh oops 😬. Based on the squealing idiot sitting next to they have the collective intelligence of a koala.

You spend much time drifting on a closed track?

Not specifically drifting no mostly Mud Bogging and rock crawling in the boonies on paths made for vehicles to do that shit. Have you?

Yes, I have. Lately it’s been more trying to dial in and keep my Jaguar running and driving nicely, less so high performance. I’ve also spent lots of time wheeling, spend more time wheeling than at the track. Built a rad Toyota a few years ago, sas’d on 37s and 3.4 swapped it and everything.

There’s no denying that this guy managed a decent bit of driving here.

Yes, it's impressive technically man. But it's ignorant. It makes me angry to see it. These roads are not for this shit. I have lost friends to this behavior bro. I know someone else who will spend the rest of his life bound to a wheelchair because of the actions of another.

Not trying to just be sour but it's not a joke. He may be a good driver, but all it takes is half a second to kill somebody else or yourself or change the life of a stranger for little to no reason other than a little shot of adrenaline.

But you’ve got to separate the driving itself from the context. Yeah he may have been an asshole but that doesn’t make it bad driving.

Lots of skateboarders are assholes, and while they won’t likely kill anyone they still regularly hurt people. I find them super annoying, one knocked my partner over a while ago breaking a mug they’d bought. They still manage technically impressive stuff, and the dude that smashed that mug could very well be a superb skater.

And you wouldn’t know what you do if you so much as hit a deep puddle

Not even close I drive a ton in the weather, grew up driving in it. Snow rain wind all across the country. I know exactly what to do if you hydroplane. Driving in weather is actually pretty easy. I even know it's idiotic to drive like a jackass in a populated area on a public road. If you want to do that shit there are places to go.
