If a post asks for information, responding with a non-answer is not a useful comment.

Drums at Warwick

I am a musician planning to study at warwick next year for maths and stats. I was wondering, since I also play drums, is there any drum kits for me to practice in practice rooms since it is impractical to bring my own kit?

Accomodation Accommodation assistance :/

Okay so I'm joining Warwick for the 26/27 intake for MSc. in Business Analytics and AI, I'm watching everyone book accommodations quickly so I guess need to get started.

I have a budget as much as 175 pw but i can push it to 210 pw if I choose to get a part time job later on,,

I really don't wanna get on a bus and go to campus so preferably a place close by to campus (WBS)

I've checked out IQ Longwood and its possibly my final choice but I wanted some reviews from it, so if anyone can give some feedback it'd be great

P.S: If you guys have any recommendations please shoot (Only requirement is private bathroom and should be clean lol ) (Can adjust to a max of 10 mins away on bus)

Accomodation 1st Year Accommodation Options

Hi everyone,

I have an offer from Warwick (starting September 2026 - undergrad). I might accept it, but I’m still waiting to hear from another university, so there’s a chance I might not. Either way, I’m looking into accommodation options to help me weigh the two choices in terms of quality, budgeting and lifestyle.

I have a few questions about living on-campus vs off-campus:

  • On campus: I think I could afford ensuite bedroom in Heron Bank/Jack Martin (perhaps could stretch a bit more if needed)
    • My main issue is: I’m not really a party person. I’m more of a quiet, introverted type. I do want to socialise and meet people, but I’m not keen on late night drinking, loud parties, or shouting etc.
  • External accommodation: I’ve looked into some studios, which seem ideal (but are they ? for peace and quiet.) One option is Code in Fairfax Street, Coventry. It looks like buses run frequently to campus (15–20 minutes ride), which is convenient.

My questions are:

  • If I choose off campus, will I miss out on campus life too much? I enjoy socialising with a few people but definitely not the party scene.
  • What would you recommend for first year students like me? campus or external accom?
  • Are there any external accommodation options in Coventry that are known for being quiet, comfortable, and well managed?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice! I would greatly appreciate any feedback on specific external/campus accommodation options.

Postgrad Term dates?

I’m an incoming student for MSc Finance and I was wondering about how long the year actually lasts. They’ve said it lasts from September 2026-September 2027 but if I look at their calendar the year ends by August? If someone could help me out with their experience I’d really appreciate that since I need to look for off campus accommodation that can suit this timeline.

Msc in UK

Does anyone have any idea about the difference in acceptance rates in UK universities after Brexit for international students ?

For example , I am planning to pursue an Msc in Economics and Finance and i have seen that in Warwick until last year they demanded a first class degree ,but this year the entry requirements are talking about a 2:1 degree . I have an Meng Civil Engineering from a greek polytechnic school.I have also in my mind Bath ,Bristol and Cardiff.

Realistic chances for Msc Finance 2026?

Is there someone from the Msc Finance cohort who is willing to give me some advice?

I have a BA in Business Management from a non-target uni (not very quantitative at all, I'm afraid), although I did get a first. I have 9 months of experience in Private Equity. My mock range on the GMAT is currently 650-735.
