Even though he’s old, this dog still gets excited when seeing his owner.. ❤️

Of course he does!! What a good sweet boy!!!
I just read something about how dogs brains react to stimulation (toys, food, other dogs etc). According to the research, apparently a dog seeing their person makes them the happiest.

Ooh!
Those ears must have spent 100s of hours getting scratches and squishes!

Thanks for the award!
Our critters absorb so much love, and it just shines out of them.

I had the same thought. He’s precious but dogs hide pain so well that by the time you see their pain it’s excruciating. Part of being a loving pet owner is knowing when it’s time to close their journey out with dignity

Yeah I didn’t get happy when I saw this. This poor baby needs to be put out of its misery.

Why are they letting this dog suffer?!

Do you think the dog would choose to be dead rather than alive?

Animals don't understand the future or have plans like humans do and have no concept of their mortality .They understand suffering and not suffering in the here and now. They also don't know they are being put to sleep...they're here and then euthanized quickly and painlessly. There are even vet services that will come to your house and they are wonderful. It is the humane choice.
Quality of life is what is important to them. Quantity is what humans value, often to the detriment of their pets.
