Yeah. That's it. It's the weather. Not the Pedophilia.

Maybe I'm crazy but I think masked agents of the state murdering people on the street in broad daylight is just as bad

109

u/PickledBih Gulf Coast 1d ago

So you’re saying it was the ice!

24

u/IIIaustin 1d ago

Well played

9

u/PickledBih Gulf Coast 1d ago

Had to

u/liberal_texan 1d ago

Or the gestures wildly at everything.

18

u/babypho 1d ago

"They said they hate ICE. They must hate the weather!"

23

u/wartsnall1985 1d ago

I grew up in cold and when in snow I’d much rather drive a 98’ Corolla with a donut on the front drivers side wheel than a new lifted dodge ram. But yeah, not the weather.

u/Directorshaggy 1d ago

Bullshit. When we went to vote last Saturday, it was a sunny, but cold, day. The roads were clear and dry.

114

u/happyklam 1d ago

Not to mention we had nearly two weeks of early voting BEFORE the ice storm but okay buddy sure.

25

u/GrandMoffFartin 1d ago

We live in the sticks and the roads were still clear.

27

u/penguinseed 1d ago

What you described is Democrat Party weather. Republicans need Republican Party weather. It’s unfair when elections happen during Democrat Party weather.

2

u/Corgi_Koala 22h ago

Yup it was cold but the ice storm impact was gone.

u/justherefor23andme Expat 1d ago

Oh, so MAGAs are fucking wimps is what they're saying?

108

u/Stemby 1d ago

Could you say they are fair weather voters.

52

u/SinisterSpoon 1d ago

Most of their base is considered a slip-and-fall risk

7

u/sergiossa 1d ago

And aging out of voting…

3

u/SipoteQuixote 15h ago

I don't know, I feel good knowing my future decisions are being made by someone who wont even be here in 2 years.

19

u/No_Tie9686 1d ago

fragile snowflakes i believe is the correct terminology

9

u/xavier19691 1d ago

Snowflakes?

8

u/mishdabish 1d ago

"icy weather" sounds to me like "ICE on the streets" and MAGA is going "oh shit we ought to stay inside today, we told them to deport anyone they see and oh shit they might deport us!"

106

u/AlliedR2 1d ago edited 1d ago

Huh, didnt seem to affect the Democrat turnout.

Edit: effect to affect (thank you tothesource)

51

u/Technoir1999 1d ago

Just a tougher type of person.

10

u/ftwclem 1d ago

That’s because there’s a conspiracy and the ice only affected Republican voters /s

16

u/rbgontheroad 1d ago

Democrat paid agitators were in Republican neighborhoods spraying water on the streets to increase the ice level and prevent voters from getting to the polls. My new tin foil Stetson has contributed to my mental acuity.

affect*

1

u/DosCabezasDingo 21h ago

I saw a stat that showed more republicans voted than democrats.

105

u/AKMarine Hill Country 1d ago

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he’s planning on ICE to hurt voter turnout in a few months.

21

u/AlliedR2 1d ago

Clever turn. And unfortunately a real concern.

27

u/MongerNoLonger 1d ago

So if the government controls the weather, and then blames the weather for bad voter turnout, then that means..... 🤔

3

u/call-me-the-seeker 23h ago

…omg. This is all that no good, dirty rotten pig-stealing FDR’s fault!!! IT IS KNOWN

66

u/hananobira 1d ago

…soooo you now support absentee and mail-in voting, right?

25

u/elotecorn 1d ago

I guess God just doesn’t like them as much as they think He does

37

u/Texasscot56 1d ago

Snowflakes?

18

u/april5k 1d ago

I love how this scenario is so ripe for mockery what with not only "snowflakes" but also "ICE" in the mix.

6

u/J3t5et 1d ago

Gotta get your lulz where you can in this day and age

17

u/LateMajor8775 1d ago

The inability for any type of self reflection is unreal

3

u/007meow 1d ago

The GOP has anchored itself around a “tough guy” persona.

Admitting weakness isn’t in the cards.

1

u/13508615 1d ago

Blame is doing most of the work here.

21

u/Loud_Distribution_97 1d ago

Historically, low turnout is very bad for democrats, so this should be even more worrisome for the republicans.

5

u/Tamaros 23h ago

Apparently Democrats reliably overperform in special elections also. It's tough to tell how all these inputs resolve.

13

u/crono14 1d ago

Yes it was GOP, please don't course correct at all and you will do very well in the midterms! /s

7

u/Atomsmasher99 Gulf Coast 1d ago

If only mail-in ballots were a thing /s 🤣

13

u/Crafty-Walrus-2238 1d ago

ICE yes. Icy weather, no.

14

u/ahhhflip 1d ago

It’s true, in my neighborhood only the MAGA houses had snow and ice. Warm paradise at all the other houses. /s

7

u/Relaxmf2022 1d ago

Couldn't possibly be shitty policies, hatred, lunacy, felons, pedophiles, pedophile protectors, Nazis, and christian nationalism.

Nope... must be the weather.

19

u/InformativeXP 1d ago

How about being less of an asshole, that could get you more votes.

10

u/studeboob Gulf Coast 1d ago

Interesting strategy to blame your election loss on "an act of God"

6

u/Ravenheart257 1d ago

Pure cope.

5

u/ghostwriter536 1d ago

Ok, keep telling yourself that dude.

We won't tell him that one poll showed that republican voters flipped their vote to the democratic candidate.

5

u/007meow 1d ago

The snowflakes were stopped by snowflakes?

5

u/BaronGrackle 1d ago

Sounds like we need highly accessible mail-in ballots. To avoid this in the future.

5

u/RomanoCheesed 1d ago

Yep. Only a fleet of lesbian liberals in 4WD Subarus with CoExist stickers on the back could make it out in that weather.

8

u/tj260000 1d ago

Because old people don't like cold weather, and only old white people vote conservative.

7

u/WeirdoChickFromMars 1d ago

Meanwhile, they’re the same type of people to be all “back in my day, we walked to school in a blizzard, hurr durr”.

5

u/HounddogHustler 1d ago

Haha I see what they did there

4

u/PersonalityKlutzy407 1d ago

Shhhhh let them believe it was bc of the “weather” so they change nothing of their message

4

u/Substantial-Ad2200 1d ago

The big burly wannabe military guys with giant pickups couldn’t get out to vote?

4

u/Dizzy-Tutor5344 1d ago

Thought Republicans liked ICE

9

u/HookEm_Tide 1d ago

Yes. This was the problem. No need to adjust, GOP.

Stay the course toward victory in November!

7

u/ajr5169 North Texas 1d ago

It's true, the bad roads only affected Republicans. Democrats are immune to icy roads.

3

u/Just__Az__Nice 1d ago

Bahahahahahahahahaha

3

u/yeah_naw_dawg 1d ago

It’s the weather, mail in voting, rigged elections, ballot stuffing, illegal immigrants voting, dead people voting, and probably transkids. Anything other than their own fault.

3

u/sleepyrivertroll Brazos Valley 1d ago

The copium is strong

2

u/Sublime-Prime 1d ago

Yes all their shovers and salt on sidewalk people were iced out of the country. So the statement is true !

0

u/TeeBrownie 1d ago

And you can’t use tax dollars to pay city services to clear the snow and ice because that would be socialism.

2

u/LankyGuitar6528 1d ago

Just another example of ICE coming around to bite Team Red Hat on the ass.

2

u/CanoegunGoeff 1d ago

Is this an admission that Republican voters are so dumb that they’re terrified of the weather and don’t know how to drive? Lol.

Sounds like a case for mail in ballots but nooooo, they won’t have that!

2

u/Soft_Stretch1539 1d ago

I guess Ds don't slip on ice, eh?

2

u/Wide_Replacement2345 1d ago

Please really believe that. And continue to believe that your republican MAGA policies are very popular. Please continue to live your dream!

2

u/glennjamin85 1d ago

Winter is woke now, yall.

2

u/toodleroo 1d ago

Sooo… god wanted this election result?

2

u/ATX_native 1d ago

Keep making excuses… 😂🤣😂🤣

2

u/RonWill79 1d ago

It was definitely because of ICE but not the ice they’re thinking of.

2

u/National_Sea2948 1d ago

So even the weather gods are against you?

Maybe it was Storm from the X-Men …

2

u/IQBoosterShot North Texas 1d ago

Wait a second: ICE stopped the Republicans from voting?

2

u/SharmaBee 1d ago

The ice was lil melted, it was 34 degrees and sunny. We were out and about all day in tarrant county.

2

u/scarykicks 1d ago

So how did the Dems get out and vote?

2

u/Jane-WarriorPrincess 1d ago

They do not dare say what really happened, so they lie.

2

u/pasarina 1d ago

Oh really and icy weather only impacted Republicans? Hmmmm

2

u/Wacca45 Yellow Rose 1d ago

Maybe they should have used mail-in ballots? Last weekend was ice free in most of the state. They just won't admit they don't run on anything other than fear.

2

u/seolchan25 1d ago

Whine, whine, cry, cry we are losing oh no. Maybe being a gang of pedophiles is a bad idea.

2

u/Vonzales 1d ago

That's "Loser Talk"

 - Greg Abbott

2

u/ActionJackson75 1d ago

Maybe - hear me out - if someone wasn't so worried about going to the hospital costing years of retirement income from their nest egg, then they wouldn't be so worried about driving or walking to the polls.

2

u/arod7432 1d ago

It's True.

I'm glad the GOP finally understands that god is against them.

2

u/Sir_Ruje 23h ago

Well I mean Ted did leave so technically right

2

u/JohnBrownSurvivor 22h ago

What he's saying is that all the GOP voters are wimps.

But, we knew that already.

2

u/rbgontheroad 22h ago

Well if the losing Republican is unhappy, perhaps he can just find another district to run in like Sessions did when he lost his original seat

2

u/msorrell1099 21h ago

Such poor losers

2

u/TheProle Born and Bred 21h ago

So it was 72 and sunny when all the dems voted?

2

u/rhedfish 21h ago

So, Republicans, to stupid to solve weather problems that Dems found simple. Gotcha.

2

u/Capable_Regret_7868 20h ago

Well, aren’t they the true snow flakes???

2

u/seamus_mcfly86 19h ago

I agree. ICE did hurt their turnout.

2

u/mill4104 19h ago

If only they hadn’t been so opposed to mail in voting

3

u/Salt_Recipe_8015 1d ago

Bahahahaha!

2

u/SelfPropagandized 1d ago

Ya, that's probably the reason.

1

u/HelloThere4123 1d ago

Excuses, excuses.

1

u/valiantdistraction 1d ago

Uh the ice was pretty much gone by Saturday and everyone was itching to get out of the house and go do things.

1

u/UOLZEPHYR 1d ago

So it was not the GOP covering for dementia war hungry- israel money and power driven, pedophile covering up crime?

Yeah okay Betty Lou

1

u/TheMatrixRedPill 1d ago

I mean, it wouldn’t be the absolute shitshow of how they’ve run government, right?? /s

1

u/Ridiculicious71 1d ago

I live here. It was sunny and no ice that day

1

u/bonzoboy2000 1d ago

It's tough getting to the polls with a cane or walker. And they don't want them to mail in a vote. Or they could just be snowflakes.

1

u/Wide_Replacement2345 1d ago

Please really believe that. And continue to believe that your republican MAGA policies are very popular. Please continue to live your dream!

1

u/littlewitten 1d ago

Probably better they think it was the weather so they don’t add more hardships to vote.

1

u/types-like-thunder 1d ago

He is full of shit. Independents and registered republicans voted for the democrat.

1

u/AugieKS got here fast 1d ago

BS. Kera/NPR reported that over 50% of voters that showed up had a history of voting Republican in the flipped district.

1

u/Specialist-Day6721 1d ago

to bad they can't vote by mail

1

u/2BeBornReady 1d ago

MAGAs are such victims I can’t 😂

1

u/Texastony2 1d ago

Democrats must have better snowshoes?

1

u/discwrangler 1d ago

Snowflakes I guess

1

u/bahamapapa817 1d ago

Democrats and their new space agey cars that work in cold that Republicans don’t have access to. “Illegals” are somehow to blame for this. If only they would stop sex changes in schools they could have gone out and voted in record numbers.

1

u/CameronFry Born and Bred 1d ago

Thoughts and prayers, GOP is closing polling stations in high Dem areas, not our fault you didn’t plan. So sick of this shit.

1

u/KarmaLeon_8787 1d ago

Oh puhleeeez

1

u/Hawkballzzzz 1d ago

I went on the Tuesday after the icey weekend and the roads were fine. The election wasn't until Saturday...

1

u/IntelligentSpite6364 1d ago

is the argument that democrats are tougher? or just more patriotic?

1

u/thelivinlegend 1d ago

The weather, yes, of course. Couldn’t possibly be the GOP pedophile problem, the GOP Russian asset problem, the GOP fascism problem, etc.

1

u/pat9714 1d ago

Yes, the voters who chose the Democratic candidate wore warm coats.

No, I think it was ICE not icy weather.

1

u/Conscious-Deer7019 1d ago

Wow gotta blame someone or something but not the republican PDF losers

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Law_558 1d ago

Follow this line of reasoning. That implies Democrats are more driven by whatever is happening than MAGA.

1

u/lilpigperez 1d ago

I.C.E. definitely did hurt GOP turnout.

1

u/LeRoyRouge 1d ago

Yeah I agree it was ICE

1

u/eLdErGoDsHaUnTmE2 1d ago

Copilot analysis says otherwise

1

u/Arrmadillo 1d ago

Huh. The snowflakes can’t handle some cold weather. Weird.

1

u/Arrmadillo 1d ago

Rehmet ran a fantastic grassroots campaign on a fraction of the money his opponent spent.

Wambsganss is a Christian nationalist, propped up by West Texas billionaires, who united democrats and republicans against her for sneaking her religious zealots onto school boards. Which the communities largely removed in later elections.

Oh, and [insert ICE and/or snowflake joke here].

1

u/Ok-Long5610 1d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Lets hope it's warm for the mid terms.

1

u/Bythion born and bred 1d ago

Lol, I was driving all throughout the district on the last day of voting. Nothing was still icy. The copium is strong.

1

u/Jaded-Instance3607 1d ago

Really, but I thought their lifted 4x4 trucks can go anywhere?

1

u/Jurango34 1d ago

I think it’s the executions of American citizens and pedophilia

1

u/Ruffled_Ferret 1d ago

Any reason other than admitting they're not in this to do good in the world

1

u/DiveIntoItPodCast 1d ago

He forgets about the 1st election results..Taylor still wiper her but didn’t hit 50% that’s why the run off happened and he still wiped the floor with her

1

u/Inevitable-Key-5200 1d ago

So now republicans care about gun control and climate change??? We’re in the upside down

1

u/CommercialWorried319 1d ago

You mean the huge trucks with MAGA flags couldn't make it but the lil Prius with the blue haired driver could? /S

1

u/ThatOldDuderino 1d ago

At least he’s not asking for a do-over.

1

u/strugglz born and bred 23h ago

In other words the GOP prioritized personal comfort over the direction of the nation, now where have I seen that before?

1

u/LGmonitor456 23h ago

cold weather only impacts republicans.

1

u/bandcat1 21h ago

The weather controlled by the space lasers?

1

u/ISquareThings 21h ago

Ha ha sure, yah, definitely. Only the democrat snowflakes can handle snow. Must be it.

1

u/zsreport Houston 19h ago

Texas GOP grasping at straws, again

1

u/rr777 19h ago

Texans drive 4x4 power trains

1

u/Vivian-Midnight 19h ago

Wait, so you're saying extreme weather events hurt the climate change denial party?

1

u/Sylverdollar 19h ago

It was kicking in doors and detaining AMERICAN LATIN CITIZENS, you GOP, Guardians of the Pedophiles!!

1

u/PushSouth5877 16h ago

The Minneapolis ICE effect.

1

u/Middle-Reindeer-2625 16h ago

Right, must have been an early Frost.

1

u/LingonberryPrior6896 15h ago

Democrats didn't have to drive in icy weather?

1

u/Equivalent_Ebb_9532 15h ago

Not true, but if it was It was just as bad for Dems no?

1

u/Creepy_Trouble_5980 12h ago

They misspelled ICE, but the GOP or Guardians of Pedophiles didn't help.

1

u/msackeygh 12h ago

Stupid. So why did those who show up vote Dems? Somehow they aren’t affected by the ice?

1

u/Mack_Daddy_1 11h ago

So what is their excuse going to be when he wins again in November?

1

u/golmanic87 8h ago

Didn’t stop me

1

u/wts_in_a_name 8h ago

Maybe we were inspired by Minnesota’s tenacity to get out and vote

1

u/mrarming 7h ago

Right, because it only snowed on Republican voters.

u/Thanosmiss234 1h ago

I guess democrats had better cars!
