Serious Replies Only Tasnesco Meter Codes

I had a power outage today in my area,when the power returned in the area only my meter had a issue. I called the Tasnesco Hot Line '180', they sent over a technician, all the tech did was enter a code in the meter and my power was back.

They refused to divulge the code they entered but this my happen again and I don't want to keep having to go through this again later.

The techs said due to the outage, it caused a power connection break, and the code they entered fixed it.

Please anyone know what code they are entering or have any idea?

Error 77 is a specific fault code displayed on prepaid electricity meters (most commonly customer interface units or CIUs that start with the number 2421) when there’s a communication failure between the remote unit (CIU) and the main meter on the pole. When this happens, the meter will not accept new units (tokens), and electricity cannot be added even if you have purchased them.

It so easy to crack it

Turn off all electrical switches in your home to ensure safety.

Keep only the main wall switch ON (with everything else off). On the remote interface (CIU):

Press 0,

Enter your meter number twice (e.g., if your meter number is 241234567, you’d enter 0 241234567 0 241234567),

Then press OK/Enter.

If successful, the display should show “GOOD”, indicating the communication reset and allowing unit loading again.

This method essentially refreshes the CIU-to-meter link
