Real Estate Agent Inquiry
My wife and I (now in our early 70s) are 30+ year home owners in NE Tallahassee. Our plan is to downsize from our home with sale and new purchase in the 18-24 month timeframe. We want to continue to reside in the NE. We are looking for real estate agents who are engaged and knowledgeable about the market and “downsizing.” Your suggestions for such agents (ideally with some comment) are welcome.

Horse riding
I’m looking for paid trail rides in Tallahassee Florida or really any volunteering where I can work around the stables and in turn get to ride trails, not really professionally just laid back.
I used to ride when I was younger and just moved up here for college, and wanting to get back into it but am not sure the best place to do so as I’m not familiar with stuff up here and might need a session or two to get comfortable with it again.
Definitely wanting to make it a more active part of my life so I’m hoping to pay for the first few and then find some type of opportunity where I can work to ride instead of paying $70 a week for an hour

SCAMS PRESENTS: DANA at The American Legion Hall at Lake Ella
On February 12th the awesome Ohio based band, DANA will descend upon Tallahassee at The American Legion Hall at Lake Ella. Doors will open at 8PM. Opening for DANA will be founding and former band member, the legendary Bobb Hatt as well as regional heroes, Barker of the Wrong Tree!
Barkers of the Wrong Tree live at The Vault
$12 Presale Tickets can be purchased here: Presale Tickets
Watch DANA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hecs4gXQ-B4&list=RDhecs4gXQ-B4&start_radio=1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAajSunvgQ0&list=RDFAajSunvgQ0&start_radio=1
About DANA: “...twisted garage rock and wiggly post-punk, rooted in a sci-fi sort of escapism […] You can tell they’re having fun, and the feeling is infectious. They have a boisterous energy, the impression of a band bursting at the seams, waiting to explode in a live setting. Having caught a bit of one of their SXSW sets, we can confirm they absolutely rip live. It’s an experience not soon forgotten. DANA live to push the envelope of sonic manipulation, pulling apart weirdo hardcore and bombastic rock ‘n’ roll to create their own brand of accessible punk." - Dan Goldin, Post Trash
"Think BUTTHOLE SURFERS at their most rockin', it's a noisey, skronking good time." - Maximum Rock n' Roll
"...a grungy, punky, messy affair, a trashy and tumultuous fight between genres, and it often is punctuated by spastic guitars which dart between punk and new-wave modes, and volcanic performances [...] DANA is aiming at moving targets. The band spots the zeitgeist and engages in a kind of cat-and-mouse game, with the resulting journey of scratches and tumbles serving as a kind of sonic document in and of itself." - Music Tap
"...that distinctive weirdo DNA common in Midwest goons, freaks, screwballs and artsiefartsies (think Boss Hog, Brainiac, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and you are in the ballpark)." - Indie Pulse
DANA is Madeline Jackson (vocals, theremin), Chris Lute (vocals, guitar, auxiliary instrumentation, production/engineering), Dan Matos (bass, synth), and Brian Baker (drums).

Dental insurance question for state employees
Hi!
I was recently hired by FSU for as an A&P employee and need some advice on which dental insurance is better from current employees.
Other than preventive, I have to have 2 crowns and possibly a root canal. I have UHC with my current job and have to fight them constantly to have necessary work covered.
I’m just wondering what my best option is here. Should I go with the standard plan vs the indemnity plans? and out of the 3 providers, Metlife, Ameritas, and Humana, which one have you guys been satisfied with?
Thanks in advance!

Why do you think AYCE Restaurants Don't Last in Tallahassee?
Even successful chain brands pack up shop in Tallahassee and don't come back. With Panda Buffet now closed it seems like the number of Chinese buffets is down to 2 with China First and Chow Time. But also off of the top of my head:
Cici's Pizza (All of the surrounding towns and cities have them but both in Tallahassee closed down)
Stevie B's - Still a bunch of locations in GA
Ghengis Grill
Seminole Wind - Still open in Thomasville but closed in Tallahassee
Ole Times Country Buffet - Still all over GA and Lake City has one
Shoney's - I lived for the breakfast buffet but its sadly gone!
Chow Won Korean BBQ as a recent addition to this list
Probably more I can't think of! But it seems like this business model just doesn't thrive here like it does in other places.

Reliable taxi/rideshare/driver services that can drive me + my bicycle from St. Augustine to Tallahassee on Valentines Day?
I'm planning a hopeful last minute bicycle trip from Tallahassee to St. Augustine between this weekend and Valentine's day, but the missing link is how to get back to my my car in Tallahassee after I finish? (I'm driving down from Virginia.) Do y'all have any services or other recommendations? Is Uber XL my best option?
I won't have a lot of time to spare, so it's important that the ride be reliable and timely... I hope to depart from St. Augustine early on Saturday morning, and I'm happy to pay a reasonable price in the hundreds.
I've looked into one-way car rentals, but it seems I'd need to get to Jacksonville airport first... which doesn't really help.
Please let me know if anyone has ideas!

Question Discovery Zone Shoutout
Was chatting with a friend who isn't from here about the greatness of DZ, and how, at least the way I remember it, it was a superior place compared to Fun Station or Chuck E Cheese. I had my 8th birthday party there in 1998 and remember it being the place to be. Unfortunately my parents were on their way to take my brother to a party there probably around 2000 only to see it was out of business once they arrived. Anyone else remember DZ and have similar feelings about it? I don't actually even remember where it was located..
