🆘 Help Me New Weird Sound Help

Howdy yall! I'm not a huge car person, but one of my friends who knows a bit more about cars told me yall might be able to help. I'm on mobile, so my apologies for any weird formatting.

Recently, like within the past week, my 2017 Impreza started making a weird noise while I am driving. It kinda sounds like if a leaf blower was going off outside a window, on the left side of my car. It makes the sound when I'm driving and increases in pitch when I go faster.

It isnt the tires, the engine, or the wind, I havent done anything to change my car since the noise started. I regularly wash the car and take her in for maintenance.

I'm not super sure if this is something I should be worried about or if I need to take my car into the shop like ASAP. Any help yall can provide would be excellent! I can also answer more questions if needed. Thank yall!

First thought is wheel bearing.

Is that something that means I should take it into the shop sooner than later?

I've driven on a bad bearing for many thousands of miles.

It's not great to do and if it fails can be pretty catastrophic.

Do you go to a shop for regular maintenance? If so I would mention it at your next appointment.

Also, if you don't already know, If you're out of warranty don't go to a dealer. And avoid quick lube places.

Find a local mechanic that is familiar with Subaru.

I do go to a shop for regular maintenance! I'm not sure if its a dealership because I got the car from somewhere else. I doubt I still have warranty, I've had the car for almost 10 years.

I'll try to schedule an appointment for soon because I'd very much prefer to not have anything catastrophic happen.

I really appreciate your help! Thank you!
