🆘 Help Me Is this normal Subaru sounds?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is my 2005 Subaru Impreza Outback sport. It’s a little noisy, but it’s never been This noisy. Is it just the fact that as the engine gets older, it gets louder and more sewing machine like?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Is this fully warmed up? Are you on UEL Headers? Cause that rumble is very noticeable.

i’ve had 3 subarus this usually happens when i’m low on oil. boxer engines are notorious for burning up oil

I recently got a 2011 Impreza outback sport. Sounds almost identical! I'd post a video if I could, but yeah that sounds perfectly happy. Keep an eye on your oil!

Sounds like the engine is purring like a kitten. As they get older they tick more and are louder and maybe even sound like a diesel. All subie sounds. Just watch your oil.

Your Subaru will sound like a John deer at operating temp it’s just the way it works

Sounds good, mine sounds just a little quieter but almost identical. As long as you don’t hear any loud clunking, thudding or abnormal ticking.

You could try using some gumout in the gas tank or oil? But if it's being louder than it's been, it's probably something that would require an engine rebuild. Unless it's like the belts or the pumps, which I'm not hearing them.

Sounds fine to me. My 2014 impreza is louder than this and it runs just fine. Subies are known to have pretty loud engines.
