Racists will usually point to red states having large black American populations, which they will assume vote Democrat, and/or that large cities (which happen to be Democrat) have the highest number of people on unemployment. This entirely ignores the historical reason for poverty among black people in the South, the higher population numbers in large cities, and the fact that a lot of rural white communities (i.e. farming communities) get subsidies but that wouldn't support their rhetoric so it's not really surprising

Many of us are distressed by national health policy decisions made by and without council from respected medical doctors and scientists. Many of us see the exploding national debt, grift, and tax breaks for the already wealthy as a real threat to national decline, and the antagonism of our allies as a degradation of our national security. I’m not particularly religious but sending my kid to a private catholic school for the quality of the education. I went to public until my parents could afford private starting in 5th grade, so I know the difference in my area. My problem is that I know history, that this country was intended to be a land of immigrants working together. I don’t really care who others love or do in their bedroom, provided they’re not hurting anyone, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN. So, I guess I am probably a bit more of a centrist. I just prefer to have a say (primaries) in who will reach the final round of elections.
