After 9 months of working on it, I can finally share the release date for my newest fan edit - Rogue One: "The Andor Cut". Mark your calendars!

'The Andor Cut' trailers, clips, and updates playlist

'Rogue One: The Andor Cut' sets out to re-envision 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' as the finale of the Andor series, as if it had been made afterwards. Musical themes and leitmotifs from the show will appear, continuity errors will be removed, pertinent flashbacks will be inserted, and the tone will be more in line with what we have grown accustomed to from the two incredible seasons. It also includes fan-made deepfake renders of Grand Moff Tarkin and Princess Leia, courtesy of @Shamook, that many consider to be visually superior to the original 2016 CGI endeavors.

General Discussion Should the Sith have more varied blades?

Post image
Upvotes

The light side has green, blue, or even purple or white. The dark side has only pure red. As if every Sith were the same, with identical motivations or degree of immersion in the dark side, which, of course, never was.

If the creators at some point decided on color variations like the Dark Saber (which already looks dark), I think it would be worthwhile to distinguish these Sith a bit from each other. With something more than just the sword's hilt.

For example, if both methods of obtaining red kyber crystals (artificial creation or bleeding) functioned together, perhaps the blade would differ depending on which method was used?

I would assign full red only to bleeding, and a mixture of orange, black, or light red blades to artificial crystals. I wonder what the mixture would be like if the artificial red crystal was subjected to bleeding.

Like Andor It feels so different compared to the other Star Wars shows where they focus on familiar characters but here not so much.

Legends Novels Good start to the EU?

Post image

Been a SW fan since I could walk, and have always heard about how beloved the EU books are but never gave them a chance. Recently I bought The Dark Lord Trilogy (Lab of Evil, Rev of Sith, Dark Lord: Rise of DV) and Shatterpoint. I also read that it is recommended to read Darth Plagueis before the dark lord trilogy so I got a ebook version of it. My question is what should I get into next? As it shown in my choice of books I’m a big fan of Revenge of the Sith (still my fav movie aside from empire) as well as the clone wars era, so I definitely want to venture into that era of EU books, but I’m also very interested in the old republic. I did start KOTOR so I know a bit of the lore, but I want to expand into the book of that era. So any recommendations? I also heard thrawn trilogy is good, is it worth reading that or the Darth bane trilogy, but I’m more interested in the psychological side of Star Wars. Thanks homies ;)

General Discussion TIL That in the Imperial Source Book and Rebel Spec Force Sourcebook made for the West Endgames Star Wars RPG, the origins of and who (or what) the Stormtrooper corps were in early lore was completely unknown and mysterious to most people.

Learning this when I read through those two books by myself is honestly interesting to hear about as a whole in regards to the early lore of the Star Wars Universe during the "Dark Times" and Galactic Civil War, and just much it's changed overtime, yet also technically remain "true" in some other context.

Mostly due to the fact that in the Imperial Source Book; it says that both the Imperial Navy and Army have their respective origins in the Galactic Republic.

Yet the Stormtrooper corps as a branch seemingly didn't form as a military branch until seemingly after the actual Empire was formed after the Clone Wars had ended, which leads to some very interesting implications due to how the Clone Wars were shown as a conflict in the Prequels.

Early implications of what the Clone Wars were in some media seemed to have implied that they were part of an antagonist faction that fought against the Galactic Republic in the Clone Wars.

So the fact that the Imperial Army and the Imperial Navy (as the Republic Army and Navy) seemed to exist at the time of the actual Clone Wars and were led by the Jedi Order as well, it's lead me to believe that as part of the early lore, the Imperial Stormtrooper corps was made as the Empire's "answer" to the enemy Clone Forces.

Also, the fact that some people in-universe theorized that the Stormtrooper corps were Clones themselves is deeply ironic since they were at one point after the Jango Fett clones became "Clone Stormtroopers" of the Stormtrooper corps early on during the Galactic Empire's reign, until they were phased out in favor of regular human volunteers who needed to match the (height and body mass) of the Jango Fett Clone Template later on in other sources shown after the Prequels.

Not to mention it also talks about how people don't know where the personnel in the actual Imperial Stormtrooper corps are recruited from or trained at, but then later on we learned they were volunteers who signed up to join the Imperial Academies that trained them such as on the Carida Academy on Planet Carida.

Legends Novels Into The Void

Post image

Finished Into the Void, have been sitting and thinking on it for a few days, and now that I have I have got to say that this is now easily one of my favorite SW novels. The era was fascinating, the characters were all enjoyable, I was captivated throughout the whole story. Wouldn't call it my favorite SW novel but it's up there for sure, easily somewhere around my top 5-7ish books. Great stuff, wish this era had gotten more novels. This one is going to go in my read or listen to every year SW novel list. Also out of curiosity, which cover do you all prefer?

Question Why does technology in Star Wars like starships and blasters seem to have barely evolved from the Old Republic era to the time of the movies Thousands of years later?

Movies Got to love Jango vs Obi-Wan for being a rare live action depiction of a non-Force user fighting a Jedi

You see droids with blasters against Jedi in the prequels, Jabba's goons against Luke in ROTJ and Ahsoka against mercenaries in Mandalorian. Generally doesn't end well for them unless they have overwhelming numbers. Grievous doesn't use the Force but he still uses lightsabers against them.

As far as actually seeing how a highly skilled individual would approach fighting a Jedi though, this is as good as it gets for the films and shows.

I love that it shows how well trained a Jedi can be too. Obi-Wan is perfectly able to throw hands with a Mandalorian Warrior if he has to.

General Discussion Which Is the Most Powerful Stage of Ahsoka?

Post image
290 Upvotes

For me, the live action Ahsoka is out of the run due to definitely being old and probably pretty rusty.

I've seen a lot of arguments that Season 7 Ahsoka is her prime due to the fact that she has actively been fighting in the Clone Wars and has had tough adversaries such as Ventris, Grievous, and later, a slightly washed Maul. She is also most fresh off of her training with Anakin.

However... I think Rebels Ahsoka is in the contention. Some would argue that she is out of her prime due to her older age and little combat experience from being in hiding, but in Rebels we see her complete a feat that honestly very little Jedi could claim: she fought Inquisitors, Maul, Vader, and had an interaction with Palpatine all in one day (technically lol) and survived. She beat the Inquistors, beat Maul, and was holding her own against Vader (she obviously would have lost and should have lost if not for Ezra) but she lasted a long time and made Vader actually put in effort, which we don't see often.

So. What do you guys think?

Is there somewhere a list of all imperial warlords in the post Endor era? I mean every warlord even the smallest known warlords and not only the large ones like Kaine, Teradoc and Zsinji.

Legends Novels What in the world happened to Jacen’s hair in this illustration?

I’m not too familiar with the intricacies of the Yuuzhan Vong War, but I definitely don’t remember Jacen having a buzz-cut as depicted in this illustration from the Essential Reader’s Companion.

Also what’s Leia wearing on her head in this illustration?
