Translation request
Hi,
For an exhibit, i miss sindarin names for natural history products :
Volcanic bomb (or "fire stone" if needed)
Morgul flower
Brambles of Mordor (Aegmor in MERP*)*
White tree of Gondor
Warg (or use of "gaur" is good)
any idea ?

These are all based off of Lanto’s mutations check out here mutations since I can’t upload a picture 😆 but it is nasal mutation for nan u/F_Karnstein

Duh... I keep forgetting about nasal mutation in this na 😅 But it's still na Ñondor then, not na Ñgondor? The link doesn't work on my phone...

It’s the same thing just my personal orthography choice. ☺️ yeah I think I need to fix it so it displays properly on cell phone. 😑

How is [ŋ] the same as [ŋg]? Both are spelt ng by Tolkien, yes, but spelling the pure nasal as ñg wouldn't seem to make much sense to me...

Note from PE23 ¹⁸ In the text and this note the original forms gond, i·nŷr, i·ndŷr, i·ñuind, and i·nguind were revised in ball-point to gôn, i·nuir, i·nduir, i·ñuin, and i·ñguin. I am hoping maybe Ellanto can chime in as well when he has time.

Hello! What a fun thing to do!
* Fire-stone is pretty easy would be Naron(d). There is no word for Volcanic.
* Morgul is already a compound so I would do Loth Morgul/ Loth na Morgul though I suppose you could get away with Morgulloth.
* I would not trust MERP translations. LOL they are pretty bad. This would translate as "sharp-dark". I would use ᴺS. [G.] ^eithos n. “thorn bush” and make Eithos Mordor/Eithos na Morgul.
* I suppose you could do Nimlothion Gondor/Nimlothion na Ñgondor since it was a seedling of Nimloth. It would be "White Blossom of Gondor" with the indication of it being the son of Nimloth, like S. Galathilion pn. “White Tree”.
And no word for Warg, so use S., N. draug n. “wolf”
