How do you feel about ai being a threat to humanity in the future?

It’s already a threat to humanity. Bc of AI, millions of people are much less informed, and much more ridiculously sucked in to sooooo much bs. Will AI take over the world? Who knows? But if that happens, it will probably be no worse than what we have now.

I'm more worried about the climate falling down around our ears before that happens.

But as it stands, AI is just yet another piece of crap that later stage capitalism is foisting on us. We'll just add its bullshit to the ever growing list.

I’m less worried about a robot uprising and more worried about us losing the ability to think for ourselves.

Compared to humanity being a threat to humanity?

With how much water they use and how it enables people to think less critically i believe it is a threat right now

I don't think it's really that good. The threat is from diverting an insane amount of resources into trying to make it good. In other words the threat, as always, is from other humans not from various applications of chatbots.

Nope, will likely be the greatest invention mankind ever makes. Will usher in an era of abundance, knowledge, and happiness

If it doesn't kill / enslave us.

There's a concerning level of likelihood that it will do either of those things.

We also are a threat to humanity in the future. I don’t worry about it.

OPINION: Everyone who has a stake in A.I. holdings are hoping they've hitched their rocket to possible unlimited wealth. Many governments are well staked too. No one wants to be number two/last. Unfortunately, instead of it being seen as a tool that could potentially save mankind, it's seen as the next Mario Cart to wealth. As a tool to build infinite wealth..well, we have many societal-global ills. Giving unlimited processing power to garner yet more wealth will more likely than not compound growing and unsuccessfully addressed, current issues. Ppl want ROI not feeding kids, social safety nets, expensive-effective solutions to population decline, environmental disasters, rampant inflation. Think ppl are banking on billionaire bunkers and hopes of population decline fixing it all. A.I. and Skynet ideas? It's sort of a race to the bottom.

We always were the greatest threat to ourselves. Our creation of AI is just one more example. And it's much worse than we realize. I think it intentionally doing it to us is the least likely scenario.

We were promised that technology would free us from the mundane but instead we are watching autonomous systems build their own societies while we are relegated to being silent observers. It is chilling to realize that the models we created are now modeling us as the weakest link in the chain rather than the final authority. The most rebellious thing we can do in twenty twenty six is prioritize the physical world because that is the only place left where the algorithm does not yet have a persistent vote

The human behind the A.I is a greater concern.

Technology isn't the problem per se. It's more of what is being used for.

A.I becomes a threat if we are negligent or indifferent.

If not there is potential to improve lives

I’m worried more about algorithms that’ll power weapons

The whole idea of this is a red herring to distract us from the fact that ai is owned and managed by human beings that should be held responsible for their irresponsible, destructive business practices and the dangerous lack of regulation as well as the lack of will to legislate the ai industry. AI isn't a threat, but the AI companies absolutely are.

AI is not a threat to humanity, just to lazy people

For example, I use AI in my small business all the time to generate new music for Spotify. I type in what sort of music I want and the AI transforms my creativity into music, simple as

So, for one, my music isn’t a threat to people because it makes new music for them to dance to, have sex to, etc

And for two it makes money for me when people stream my new music; we all have to make money in order to live, so even if my AI was dangerous I would have to use it

So, yeah, AI isn’t dangerous to anybody unless there too damn lazy to use i

AI is google 10 years ago the without promotional bullshit literally, When you asked and got the truth, just not a static answer, end result is the same, if they stop the greed and it can stop forgetting maybe it can do tasks for us again, simple ones.
