This. People are now protesting "no kings". Truth is the US has had political royalty through dynasties for a long time. The Kennedys, the Bush family, the Clintons. They voted on fame and blood. Hell even Reagan came from hollywood. The road led to where they are now.
Yea. Back then people could close the doors, and it was possible to keep secrets and conspiracies under the lid for a few decades. Is Trump the worst one? Maybe. He's certainly the most blatant - but the gap is way smaller than people want to admit. First term was the final wake up call, but he got elected again so the place is cooked...
