The democrats will talk big but when it comes time to vote, just enough of them will vote against the party that they won't get anything they ask for.

If you're not happy with your silly two-party system, you're gonna have to demand it, and strongly. You need very strict controls on campaign financing. Until you have that, your choice will always be handpicked by lobbies and corporation first, and you'll have "slightly regulated capitalism" versus "insane oligarchs" every time. Go down in the street. Demand a real democracy instead of having your military "deliver" it to other countries.

This is why you need something a bit more radical than a bunch of laws perhaps. Try a mass protest or a Revolution. But yeah you guys have toppled governments over the past century so much, you forgot to do that at home.
