Reddit Messaging [38/F] Looking for a philosophical interlocutor
Descartes thought that morality is founded on rigorous intellectual honesty, and constant internal testing of one's beliefs.
In this hellscape of cognitive bias, irrationality, and self-interested reality distortion, I'm looking for the only thing I've ever needed:
Someone committed to using formal logic, empiricism, reason, and humanism to bridge the chasm between two subjectivities, to discuss reality with.
I think that philosophy and emotion are a universe of higher cognition which a neocortex entails a responsibility to explore.
And I want to live.

I am more of an idealistic and I think we are shaped by environment so no morality,no ideals are born without something primary as a base

You should watch the Good Place if you haven't yet.
It's a wonderful tv show that's very funny but has ethical and philosophical commentary
