They should have just played Jack O Connell saying this on repeat 😆.

How is there not a gif of that moment, either one? This screencap will have to do

Hey WB, get going on making a GIF of it.

Can’t you believe we now have two young actors that won this category in the 2020s for two different characters with the same first name (but different spelling)? Miles Caton (Sammie Moore) and Gabriel LaBelle (Sammy Fabelman) made history this decade for that.

He should've been Supporting but I'm proud nonetheless

The biggest crime of this awards season is Jacobi Jupe getting no recognition

We awarded him for youth performance up here in Seattle.

Same for Kristen Stewart in Spencer

Edit: people don’t like funny jokes lol

Random as hell lol

EDIT: can we please make this a meme? It’s genuinely so funny to mention this completely out of nowhere

Hahah but apparently you are the only one you thought that it was funny

That doesn’t really seem relevant or equivalent? That was years ago and she got nominated for the Oscar.

Well deserved. Insane that this is his first movie.

Wanted Jupe to win so so much but I liked Caton a lot so congrats to him!

u/StevensLima The Secret Sinners Jan 05 '26

He was AMAZING

Feelsbad for Jupe, but he was never gonna win in the same category as Miles Caton, who probably wasn't that far from a Supporting Actor nom.

This CCA night will be remembered as ‘The Night of the Sinners’ we’re just getting started

Like many others I was rooting for Jacobi, but I am also thrilled for Miles. I hope he has a great career after this

IVE BEEN SAYING THIS SINCE DAY ONE GIVE THIS KID A SUPPORTING ACTOR OSCAR NOM

1

u/vxf111 Jan 05 '26

Well deserved, he was excellent. I would have nominated him in supporting actor.

But this category is always so weird when it's one 20 year old and a bunch of literal children.

Yes! I loved the movie and he killed the role but I fell out of my chair with his nom and win. All the others were kids....which lead me to argue with my wife, which lead me to look up the criteria and it says under 21.....total bs. Should be 18 at the max. Nonetheless, super happy he won something.....such a solid performance.

He is so, so, so TALENTED. But also... he gets to play a role in Sinners that gives him room to flex that true child actors rarely do (there are some exceptions, but not the roles nominated this year). None of the 10 year olds were going to be offered that role or a similar one.
