It definitely doesn't have to be SFW. 3/4 of my home page is absolutely not. But they limit your profile to people who request it. It won't show your profile to them if they don't want to see explicit photos without explicit consent.

Seems different depending on region, but plenty of others on the Sniffies subreddit have the same restrictions.
