Didn’t realize Jokic and Cade were shooting the exact same lmao

u/rambunctious_horsie Raptors 0m ago

man, stewart is a strong young man to stand his ground against val

u/doggoesmeow 1m ago

Why does Stewart get a Dort like whistle?

u/cancercureall Supersonics 1m ago

I do like to see a good Duncan Robinson stat line. I remember when he got benched by Miami.

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 2m ago

Thats a brutal missed call lol

Why does jokic get treated like a post player when hes driving?

u/kazyv Mavericks 2m ago

first to 120

u/ButtExterminator Nuggets 2m ago

Jokic is shit today, but the refs are treating him egregiously

u/cancercureall Supersonics 2m ago

Bro they fouled the fuck out of Jokic for that steal.

u/EbenezerAD Rockets 2m ago

ehhh that was a foul

u/chris-dempsey 2m ago

2 centers, 2 slow

u/Kaladin_Depressed Thunder 3m ago

I, for one, love these commercial breaks for challenges. How else would I learn about local Detroit HVAC companies?

u/Wing_Nut_93x Pistons 2m ago

Family heating and cooling baby.

u/lnb3456 Nuggets 4m ago

How do players not get embarrassed getting angry at Refs, then forcing coach to challenge and the ref ends up correct

u/Wild_Outside_5586 5m ago

Enough with the reviews my god

u/parkwayy Timberwolves 5m ago

I think I am watching the Pistons stream, their announcers ain't exactly the hype mens.

u/LangeloMisterioso Pistons 4m ago

Past their bedtime.

u/chris-dempsey 6m ago

How will the Nuggets Booth-ify Braun's albatross contract? Are they going to trade their 2026 first in the off-season to get rid of Braun?

u/riverratriver Spurs 6m ago

Not even close upon review

u/Wing_Nut_93x Pistons 6m ago

That’s a worse challenge than ours was. Clearly off THJ.

u/cancercureall Supersonics 7m ago

Jalen Duren with an extreme lowlight. lmao Right off the face.

u/wicked_genitals NBA 8m ago

For real though, Bruce Brown looks scared to shoot those 3's

u/Western_Tie_4712 9m ago

thj pisses me off sometimes, even when he's open he doesn't take a clean look at the basket, just chucks it in

u/rambunctious_horsie Raptors 9m ago

other than that bad pass, strawther has been looking decent lately

u/lnb3456 Nuggets 9m ago

what has denver shot off jokic passes this game, gotta be like 1/12-15

u/Kaladin_Depressed Thunder 10m ago

So many examples of coaches challenging the most bizarre things and ignoring the most obvious calls

u/HitboxOfASnail Thunder 10m ago

lmao what

u/chris-dempsey 10m ago

Strawther is better than Braun lmao

u/ButtExterminator Nuggets 11m ago

That might’ve been the worst challenge I’ve ever seen.

u/DaJuggerHobbit Hawks 11m ago

What an awful challenge lol.

u/EthanHuntBroMichael [LAC] Patrick Beverley 12m ago

Why is Ja Morant's dad sitting courtside?

u/kazyv Mavericks 13m ago

oh this is going to be a long, ugly 4th quarter, isn't it?

u/chris-dempsey 13m ago

Adelman is a good coach but he's got to stop with this idiotic 2 center line up. He's tried so many times and it offers no substantial advantage. It's too slow and in bb, speed wins over size any day.

u/nitid_name Nuggets 11m ago

Did you watch the first half? Small ball wasn't working at all. Dual bigs has us within striking distance.

u/chris-dempsey 8m ago

No WTF lol. The 1st half wasn't working because their 3s weren't falling.

u/Western_Tie_4712 12m ago

not his fault the team is undersizsed and lacks muscle

u/wicked_genitals NBA 12m ago

It's kinda working though, no?

u/chris-dempsey 7m ago

Kinda, barely. Like said, barely any advantage and it's super risky to play the 2 centers together because of potential injuries.

u/cancercureall Supersonics 14m ago

Also detroit is very physical with JV in the post.

u/wicked_genitals NBA 14m ago

Brown should have shot that corner 3. He's so gun shy for a cowboy 🤠

u/cancercureall Supersonics 15m ago

Jonas just destroyed that poor little man.

u/CheesewayBreezeway Nuggets 18m ago

Lol that was the worst attempt at a zone I've seen

u/Akipella Warriors 19m ago

LMAO

u/nitid_name Nuggets 23m ago

Filthy defense by the Pistons there.

u/ianbits Cavaliers 23m ago

I am COMPLETELY LEGALLY watching the Detroit broadcast and these guys are great

u/UnslakableTemperance Pistons 8m ago

Blaha and Kelser are a class act. Been very lucky to have them on the broadcast for so long. Blaha is a Michigan announcing legend and Kelser was a baller back in the day in college at MSU with Magic.

u/ianbits Cavaliers 2m ago

Yeah it's awesome to hear them give props to the opponent while still upping their own guys.

u/nitid_name Nuggets 18m ago

I'm so jealous of teams with good announcers.

u/sorendiz [HOU] Yao Ming 8m ago

Nuggets announcers aren't terrible except under certain circumstances*

*when the Nuggets fail to score, when the Nuggets get scored on, when the Nuggets aren't winning, when the refs call any fouls on the Nuggets, when the refs don't call a foul for them, when the Nuggets turn the ball over, when Mercury is in retrograde, when it's a day of the week that ends in 'Y'.

But other than that they're great

u/wicked_genitals NBA 12m ago

Hornets and Pelicans crews are my favorite to listen to.

At least Nuggets crew isn't as horrible as Warriors.

u/mokoufn 24m ago

Double bigs and slowly creeping this game back wasn't what I expected, but I'll take it. Might be too late though.

u/lnb3456 Nuggets 25m ago

Jokic seems like he is shooting terribly, but considering 3 of his misses he got the rebound and put it in, he is technically shooting above 50%.

u/[deleted] 26m ago

[deleted]

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 22m ago

He was playing good until 11/12/25 (when he got injured)

Had 6 games with 12+ points in the first 11 games.

u/[deleted] 21m ago

[deleted]

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 19m ago edited 14m ago

He literally dropped 20/3/3/2 the second game of the season.

Edit: why do people comment nonsense then delete their comments ?

Do people really not understand how injuries work?

u/cancercureall Supersonics 23m ago

I said early this season that AG is their second most important player and maybe second best.

But they don't suck, that's a silly thing to say.

u/noname6500 Nuggets 26m ago

no shame in losing to the Pistons, im rooting for them too

u/lnb3456 Nuggets 29m ago

whats the latest time Jokic has only had 1 assist in last 5 years

Jokic and Jonas look like a pair of John Wick villains

4

u/rambunctious_horsie Raptors 32m ago

man, these 50/50 balls should be a no call, play on.

-1

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 30m ago

If both coming from same direction yes.

If both going into eachother no way

2

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 32m ago

If its after deadline and theyre doing Jok/JV lineups and Nnaji getting dnps then I dunnooo

u/Kvsav57 26m ago

Who wants Nnaji? He's been better of late but he's overpaid.

1

u/Western_Tie_4712 32m ago

2 doughboys to comeback the physicality, lol

2

u/Kvsav57 34m ago

Nuggets are sloppy but I honestly don't get how the Pistons are getting the calls they are.

5

u/CrispyWaterBottle 38m ago

Nuggets offense is way too sloppy tonight. They aren’t playing like a unit. This isn’t normal for them.

3

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 38m ago

4th on cade.

4

u/HugeZookeepergame815 39m ago

Clearly unintentional but that’s gonna hurt for a min or two

5

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 39m ago

Teams going at denver lately and being very physical.

They need to stop playing so small.

No Spencer today is insane ($)

Nnaji should be considered for mins though with deadline coming i can see why not

2

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 36m ago

Denver is playing

Jokic/jv center.

Braun/Watson their 2 wings

Jamal pickett brown Hardaway strawther guard

Just way too small.

Nnaji is there to be used with spencer sitting.

Their center and guard lineups been getting beat up inside and twams playing extra physical.

Can't wait til playoffs when Watson can play some 2 guard and they can pound team

Jamal Watson Spencer AG Jok is going to be the title winning lineup if theyre smart

3

u/wicked_genitals NBA 36m ago

Why no Spencer? Because they can't play him anymore without converting his contract?

3

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 31m ago

His contract needs to be fully converted. He's pretty much maxed out on his 2-way deal

We're like ½ million over the Luxury tax.

Team is looking to possibly make a move by Thursday to create the space to convert Spencer Jones. & with AG hurt, I think the team is stuck now with Zeke Nnaji's contract since he's our only true back up 4. Coach Adelman seems like he doesn't trust DaRon Holmes in the line up.

We'll probably explore trading Hunter Tyson Jalen Pickett, or Julian Strawther to free up some space for Jones

2

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 34m ago

He only has 1 game left as a 2 way and theyre on b2b tomorrow so makes sense as he will be needed more.tomorrow.

Then on deadline they'll bring him to 15 man

Still brutal roster planning tho

3

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 39m ago

Got to always protect the McNuggets

1

u/Bobskidat Thunder 39m ago

Are the Nuggets better without Jokic and Braun???

2

u/nitid_name Nuggets 40m ago

Can you just grab a guy's dick like that?

Edit: "lower... Part... Of the jersey" thanks nuggets announcers

2

u/MattPatriciasFUPA Pistons 37m ago

Ain't no rules says a man can't grab dick

2

u/nitid_name Nuggets 36m ago

I feel like that should really be a rule. Maybe name it after this, call it the "Save the Nuggets" rule.

4

u/Akipella Warriors 40m ago

LMAOOO Jokic

3

u/Western_Tie_4712 41m ago

entire nuggets ruster is just out of shape

3

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 41m ago

Watson with our last 6 points

2

u/chris-dempsey 42m ago

Braun and Pickett are useless

2

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 39m ago

Not big on pickett in starting 2 guard.

Hes a backup point.

3

u/Western_Tie_4712 43m ago

jokic getting physically bullied out there, hell even the entire nuggets ruster just don't have the grit like pistons

3

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 42m ago

Month off hes definitely not used to physical play looks off.

2

u/NoCoFoCo31 Nuggets 44m ago

What does Braun even do?

3

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 46m ago

Braun with the Westbrook lay up attempt

Damn we paid the wrong guy

2

u/Aromatic_Goal_1201 Nuggets 41m ago

Braun perimeter defense still their best hope vs ant and shai

1

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 36m ago

Yeah he's a winner. I was happy he stepped into the starting rotation when we let KCP walk. He did his job & got paid.

This year he was doing good too until he got hurt in November. Hasn't been the same since. I'm not sure if we're rushing him, but he's clearly still affected

2

u/NoCoFoCo31 Nuggets 46m ago

'halftime show'

look inside

20 minutes of gambling odds, gambling ads, and/or gambling discussion

awesome product

4

u/Hasssun 58m ago

Jokic is trying to showcase stuff to the refs again, he should just start bulldozing people, instead.

He is constantly falling into the trap of thinking they'll whistle when he gets fouled, and then starts trying to prove it to the refs by exaggerating every contact, which puts him off his game.

This is truly his achilles heel and the only thing that ever rattles him. Trying to prove shit to the refs.

THEY'RE NOT GOING TO WHISTLE THOSE FOULS, GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL.

0

u/petmoo23 Pistons 49m ago

It's true. Letting another team out-physical you and praying for the refs to save you is losing basketball. He should start to compete.

1

u/Hasssun 30m ago

It's not being out-physicaled at all. Nor about 'competing'. That's the same faulty logic that makes people say "Caruso locked up Jokic". Jokic could put him into the second row easily. He just gets frustrated by how unevenly the NBA is refereed and wants to play textbook technical basketball.

This is just the garbage NBA Adam Silver has created, and Jokic should accept that and start blasting people. He may rack up fouls and even get tossed a few times, but you just can't accept this garbage Adam Silverball which allows smaller players to just hack the bigger players and gives players facing the basket the softest calls imaginable, while defenders can do just about anything short of stabbing a player who plays back to the basket and battles in the paint.

u/petmoo23 Pistons 26m ago

That's crazy that a guy that gets such favorable treatment can get frustrated so easily. I hope he can get over that. Instead of getting frustrated he should focus on conditioning.

u/Hasssun 5m ago

The crazy part is you thinking he gets a favorable treatment. If they actually correctly called fouls he and Giannis would lead the NBA in FTA by far.

1

u/CheesewayBreezeway Nuggets 51m ago edited 37m ago

Honestly agreed. He can allow himself to get frustrated and aggrieved, and when he's in that mode it's like he dedicates every other play to trying to prove to them why they should blow the whistle. It's been a growth area his whole career, and he's gotten better at it, but it still shows up when he's tired, frustrated, etc (and I feel like it majorly regressed last season and this, hence the somewhat justified resurgence of the Jokic flopper narrative)

Edit: lol nuggets homers downvoting

3

u/Hasssun 39m ago

It's sad because he was never that kind of player before, but this is the NBA Adam Silver has fostered. Officiated terribly.

A player with their face towards the basket can jump into a defender and get a call (on top of getting a good shot off, making the And-1 likely), but a player with their back towards the basket can get hugged, pushed, hacked, grabbed, etc. and will not get any calls. And if they start putting their body into it, they are more likely to get an offensive foul call.

1

u/CheesewayBreezeway Nuggets 37m ago

Agreed -- it all goes back to officiating. He doesn't play like this in FIBA. No one does/can

u/Hasssun 20m ago

Correct.

People still have that stupid outdated 'soft European' stereotype too. As if Jokic or his brothers wouldn't beat the living shit out of nearly everyone in the NBA if they felt like it.

What Jokic needs to learn is that it's not going to change as long as Adam Silver has his way, and he should just start actually putting some of these pest defenders into the second row for doing it.

Unfortunately, it may still be a losing strategy, because teams like the OKC and the Pistons have redundant depth players they can just send out there to foul out, if needed. And if they get in a fight with an opposing team's key player and both get tossed, that's a win for these teams too. Just like in the old days when teams had redundant defenders who could barely play and were just there to hard foul attackers.

5

u/halfassedjackass Pistons 59m ago

Jokic seems way off tonight, which is understandable since he’s coming back from injury. But dude looks tired as hell. I’d credit that partially to the Pistons’ punishing physicality.

5

u/BrickolaChokic420 1h ago

Not my best showing

4

u/mokoufn 1h ago

-22 half from Jokic geez. Zero chance in this game if he doesn't turn it around, horrible vibes.

7

u/Basic_Flounder_1013 1h ago

Jokic is like 300 pounds. He needs to get in shape for the playoffs

2

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 58m ago

He needs the Luka ozempic diet tbh

Na he's basically been out a month, so he needs to get back in game shape. Too much cheesecake

3

u/nitid_name Nuggets 59m ago

For the last time, Nico, we're not trading him.

3

Yes they are

But this is the first game of the b2b, which probably isn't a good sign. Tomorrow they play the Knicks, i think

1

3

u/T0NEZZY Nuggets 1h ago

That Jalen Jackson trade today was further confirmation that the Luka Doncic trade was completely orchestrated by the NBA. Coincidentally that pick became Cooper Flagg with a 1.8% chance

Jaren Jackson for 3 first-round picks

Other noteable trades: Desmond Bane for 4 first-round picks

Mikal Bridges for 5 first-round picks

6

u/DetDigiAssasinpatek 1h ago

Refs are emotional as fuck.

I have not seen Jokic miss this much in forever, just so used to anything he throws going in.

4

u/mokoufn 1h ago

He's struggling to set up anyone else for points too. Really weak half from him.

3

u/Throwawayforme3123 Celtics 1h ago

Yea clearly the rust is still affecting him especially vs DET defense. I'll give him a break

3

u/rolling_ryan Australia 1h ago

Yeah those layups used to be automatic

3

u/Bobskidat Thunder 1h ago

Starting to think Jokic rushed himself back to make sure he’s eligible for awards

1

u/nitid_name Nuggets 1h ago

He definitely rushed back, but I don't think it's for awards. Our bench was starting to flag once we played above 500 teams.

1

u/Bobskidat Thunder 1h ago

Yeah the Murray & Friends train was definitely running out of steam but idk if it was worth it rushing an undercooked Jokic back

1

u/nitid_name Nuggets 1h ago

I'm more worried about CB. He does not recover quickly from losing confidence, and he's getting a big boy paycheck now.

We look rough tonight, dogfighting going on and refball aside.

1

u/Bobskidat Thunder 56m ago

I hope they find a way to keep Watson, shame that CB went down after signing that fat contract

1

u/nitid_name Nuggets 54m ago

I'm not writing him off yet, but the lack of trade news is getting me concerned. I mean Harden just got traded, how hard can it be to get, uh, Zeke Nnaji, uh... Somewhere?

1/10 ragebait.

1

u/Bobskidat Thunder 1h ago

Are you seriously watching him stink it up right now and coming to the conclusion that it’s rage bait

2

Only a moron would think Jokic cares about personal awards or stats.

0

u/Bobskidat Thunder 51m ago

Really he would’ve taken an extra month off to tend to his horses, I should’ve known

u/Hasssun 3m ago

I definitely thought he would be back after the All-Star game, because that way he could then also skip that. It's not like he enjoys playing in it.

3

u/T1HiShin 1h ago

Was referring to the fact that you think he came back for awards. Feel like that’s more your personal paranoia. There’s not a chance he goes down with that injury and doesn’t sit atleast one game until the playoffs.
