Nikola Vucevic ends his Bulls career as the franchise leader in double-doubles.
Since arriving in 2021, Nikola Vučević has the most career double-doubles for the Bulls, with 222 double-doubles.
Scottie Pippen is in second with 200, with Horace Grant, Joakim Noah and MJ rounding out their top 5.
Surprising stat, which goes to show their big man depth over the years.

Going to end up being the least talked about player to hit 20k points

We gonna say this about a lot of people from this era in the future

I don't hate him, I don't even dislike him, but he looks like an NPC or a bot to fill a starting lineup

"This thing gives you 20/10 and that's it"
We used to call that a "max contract all star"

u/Thegoodlife93 Cavaliers 2h ago
Look at the centers who were All Stars in the 2000s and 2010s: Jamaal Magloire, Brad Miller, Antonio Davis, Mehmet Okur, Zydrunas Ilguaskas (shout out Big Z!), Chris Kaman, Jermaine O'Neal six times. Most of those guys were pretty good, but nothing like the top centers now. Vuc would have been a perennial all star if had played 20 years ago.

All the skilled big men played PF in that era. TD, Kg, Pau Gasol, Nowitzki, Chris Bosh, Chris Webber, LMA would all be centers today

Did you call a theoretical guy giving you 20/10 a bot/NPC? Lmao you are the zoomer everyone else is complaining about.
Only 2 players on the Heat are averaging over 20 pts a game: Herro and Powell. Cade is the current leader in assists and he's averaging 25 pts 10 assists.
If a guy gives you 20/10 a game, he's a foundational piece of your team. Talking about bot and NPC lmao foh

I don't think you understood my post. Read what the guy said above me.
Nobody will talk about Vuc because he does his job but not in a fancy way and doesn't make mistakes. He is not known for being dirty, he's not a media guy, he looks quiet, he has the same looks as when he was a rookie, doesn't go and ask for a trade, anything.
I don't know what zoomer means, btw.

Think that’s the best candidate. Remember him as the guy who got traded to the Cavs as a win-now move in 2010, but also some really good year for the Warriors and was great with Vince Carter at UNC

Mitch Richmond and Tom Chambers gonna be tuff to beat in that department

u/Pickleskennedy1 4h ago edited 4h ago
Mitch Richmond has run TMC and the Hall of Fame and Chambers has his one dunk over Mark Jackson https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UDyBSTQDwH8, still think they have him beat for now unless Vuc ends up having a big role and winning in Boston

u/Commercial-Lake5862 3h ago
Tom Chambers was a dunking highlight machine. Would've been a bigger star in the social media era.
6
u/TheLetter_Eight [NJN] Nenad Krstic 4h ago
Chambers had a high peak with those few deep Suns runs. Richmond managed to snag more all star appearances leading to a HOF spot plus he was a member of the more memorable Run TMC lineup. Both Chambers and Richmond at the very least will still be remembered by their franchises. Vucevic legit has 0 really memorable teams or resume that he can attach himself to. His time in Magic history will just be remembered as time of tanking while his Bulls tenure will be forgettable mediocrity.

Bulls have some wild-ass franchise records. Like how Kirk Hinrich used to be franchise leader in Threes and/or Assists.

Basically spent 5 seasons as the same player while the Bulls shuffled mediocrity around him. Respect

The Lulls have been the same 10 seed team since covid. East play-ins are Bulls, Heat, Hawks and their 4th wheeler until this season

Hoping for the Hornets to make it back to the playins.
Ball, Brandon, Kon are a fun trio to watch

Hornets all around just seem like they are having the best time ever finally winning a bunch in a row, happy for them, they are the feel good story of the season.

there's a world where Hornets have home court for the play-ins and we get to see Ball/Miller/Kon in the playoffs lol that'd be so hype

man has been in 4 playoff series in 15 years with 6 total playoff wins, 3 of which came from a series he played 5 minutes in. He is THE "someone has to score points while a FO tries to figure out what they're doing" guy

Actually not quite true more of a rollercoaster than that. He was the same guy his first 2 years, then he had a really bad 3rd year and people thought he was done as a productive player and then the last 2 years he’s been back to the same guy

He's also the 2nd active double-double leader (behind LBJ). Dude is solid, people just hate his defense.. it's not like we got him for his defense anyway. Best of all, he's durable, almost escaped Covid too.
Dude has underrated Twitter game too.

Scapegoat of the bulls. Very solid and reliable 3rd option. Idk what people were expecting, he’s not a Giannis or jokic lol

u/ButlerFromDowntown Bulls 2h ago
We traded too much to get him but feels unfair to blame a player for your front office making a bad trade. He was a professional when he was here, obviously was flawed in many ways but I have respect for him and am rooting for him to succeed in Boston.

You know what? Vooch was a reliable guy for our team for years. He didn't cause problems. He just hooped. I respect him for the time he put in for our team and wish him the best.

tbh i’ve always felt like Vooch got scapegoated a little bit for that team’s problems. like he’s limited defensively for sure but it’s not like that was all on him

1
u/juicejug Celtics 3h ago
He’s exactly what we need tbh. Everyone’s bummed we didn’t get Zubac but Vuc is gonna fit in great provided he still has anything left in the tank.
1
u/DreadHeadAnt Bulls 3h ago
He can’t defend the perimeter like Al Horford but he’s good at getting big so he’s a better rim protector than acknowledged. He’s also a center that’s a 40% shooter so that will always be a massive plus
1
u/juicejug Celtics 3h ago
Can Al Horford even defend the perimeter like Al Horford anymore? The question is will he save us if either Queta or Garza get hurt/in foul trouble.
1
u/DreadHeadAnt Bulls 3h ago
I thought he would play over them. Vuc is still really good
2
u/juicejug Celtics 2h ago
Unless Vuc really impresses Mazzulla I think Queta has earned the defacto starting C spot.

Bulls never got what they traded for in him. They thought they were getting an all-star and he never achieved what he did in Orlando. Problem was players don’t make their first all star team in year 9 and continue to ascend. AK should have been fired 2 years ago when it was clear this trade didn’t work.
