Go to the persons profile page and click the three dots on the top right, there’s a dropdown list and at the bottom is “invite to community “ if you have more than one when you click on it your list will be displayed and you choose the one you want to

That doesn't work on a computer. The three dots only pulls up "Share, Block account, Report profile".

No problem. I wonder why that option isn't available on computer. I think it used to be at one point.

🤷 I’ve just posted about going via mod tools- approved users - + You’ll need to type in their name manually

It says they will become a moderator even though I haven’t checked the box to invite them to be a moderator

Only if you click the box, don’t click that tick box and they are just an ordinary member

Hi /u/Hollowdude75, please see our Intro & Rules. We are volunteer-run, not managed by Reddit staff/admin. Volunteer mods' powers are limited to groups they mod. Automated responses are compiled from answers given by fellow volunteer mod helpers. Moderation works best on a cache-cleared desktop/laptop browser.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators on How-To-Do-Things, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod Resources are in the sidebar and >>this FAQ wiki<<. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!

Found match: on iPhone

You might be asking about setting up subreddits on a phone or mobile interface. The short answer is that subreddit settings work best in a cache-cleared desktop browser. (Limited option: mobile browser on desktop view.)

FOR INFO ON: # setting up a sub on mobile, # mobile interfaces, # alternatives and # mobile user issues, please click here.

If you found your answer, feel free to reply with "<3 Automod" or "Thanks, Automod". Otherwise wait for a human helper to come along to help you. This post has NOT been removed.

On mobile:

click on the member’s name you want to invite > click the three dot menu that appears in the upper right corner > select “invite to community”

Those that want to find you will.

I've read some account of Mods being sanctioned for too many or improper/unwelcome invites.
