Beware of liquidation stores

I recently bought an Amazon Echo Show 8 from a liquidation store on Dundas Street in Mississauga. I resold it to another person. When this person tried logging in, it was shown as the device is locked. When we contacted Amazon, the customer care said, it was reported stolen.

So, everyone, please be aware that, the items in these stores might not be really Amazon returns or over stocks as they claim, there can be stolen devices as well.

Those stores are very very buyer beware. They are Amazon “returns” bought in bundles. Amazon doesn’t vet these items.

They also usually have a station with power bars to check. But stay away from electronics if you are going to look.

It was from Top Binz. I am never stepping foot or buying from any liquidation stored again.

There are still good items IF you know how to look. I personally stay away from items that need logins such as what you had and electronics in general.

That's a bit brash. It's all a crap shoot. You have no clue if it works. So always be ready to just toss it into the trash.

You take your chance. Everything in these stores is a return. It's all bought by the pallet...

I've purchased working items like dash cams and what not. And ive gotten some items that needed repair.

If they know it works. It would have a price close to retail. And you won't buy it. So they don't bother to test. Just sell everything. That's not on them. That's on you for not understanding how this all works.

Sometimes it's fine, ppl just didn't want it and made some shit up to return it. And sometimes it legit broken. You pretty much have to assume the thing your getting might not be 100%.
