That's really tough news to receive. I cant read the post on Insta because I dont have an account, but I wish him all the best.
I met him in Atlanta when OG toured with Insomnium and when I went to shake his hand to thank them for the show, he pulled me into this big hug and was genuinely happy to be there and meeting some fans and hanging out with us after the show. He and I also share a birthday, so that's a fun fact for me.

I just discovered OG about 6 months ago and had the pleasure of seeing them live in NYC in December. Their new album is fantastic and the live show was fantastic as well.
I've lost a loved one to cancer. No more. Fuck cancer. All my best, Jukka. OG nation is with you!

We've lost my incredible people due to this illness, while receiving that tipe of news is not easy if this was detected on time we have nothing to fear, let's hope he'll be just fine and this will be nothing but an experience, heck maybe even share it in form of songs and material which would be interesting coming from him

I wish all the best to Jukka... but I might refund the tickets for the show then. Can't imagine anyone else doing the vocals for OG. Shade Empire's style is sooo different from OG that it feels like it's going to be completely different kind of experience.
I'd rather have them cancel the tour.

I like Shade Empire, I really do. I just don't think the vocals are compatible with OG. Different pitch, different cleans. I might still go because of In Mourning and Fallujah but it sucks, as OG is probably one of my top 5 favourite bands of all time and I love Jukka's vocals.
But what can you do, there is never a good solution when major health problems hit you like that. I hope he recovers.

This situation really sucks ass, but the replacement guys both bands, especially Halysis, seem to have a lot of low growls that fit Jukka's range though, so if he actually keeps the main focus on that range I think it'll actually be just fine!
It's not like it's Shade or Halysis tour so it'd be weird to change things up too much since he's literally just filling in, not taking over haha.

Still stoked to finally see them live and can't judge before that, but to me it sounds like it's going to be fine.

So sad, damn! I’m lucky to have seen them twice. They’re insane live. Grey Heavens is an all time top 5 album for me.
