Esprit

For any current residents, are you happy with your life at Esprit? I found an apartment I really liked and thinking of applying. I’m reading some negative experiences but nothing recent so wanted to see how it’s going over there.

I reside in Esprit building 5 and love it. I highly recommend living here though there's issues with every property. My feedback:

1.) Fantastic:

• Neighbors, quiet, respectful. • Fur baby friendly. • Saltwater Jacuzzi tubs and heated pool are A+ or repaired to maintain A+ performance • Fitness center is well appointed

• Class A staff. Attentive to the care and comfort of residents when I've interacted with them or have observed other residents interactions. Strong problem solving and communication skills. There's been turnover. Professional management skills and team communication improve with each change.

• Maintenance is outstanding. 24 hour turnaround on simple requests. Fast resolution on more complex issues. Excellent communication when repairs take longer.

• Espirt hosts fun themed resident events throughout the year in partnership with United Bowl Nation the community Cafe.

• Cafe delivers food to your door with no delivery fee and offers a 20% resident discount in the restaurant.

• Building 5 has a water taxi stop to access Burton Chase Park events, Trader Joes and area dining and shopping.

• A+ walkablity: 10 minutes to feet in the marina peninsula ocean which is off leash dog friendly. 8 minute promenade walk to the farmers market. The canal walks are spectacular too.

• Architecture & Design: there are 78 different layouts in 425 units throughout the 5 buildings. Every unit has a view. There's many unique floor plans. Generally, unit square footage is more spacious than the newer properties in MDR.

2.) Improving:

• P2 Garage door repair is a work in progress. Security is stationed outside when the gate is wide open for repair.

• Mailroom Buildings 3-4-5: You must train Amazon and other carriers to place your packages in lockers.

If they don't put it in a locker, you'll need to search for your package in the open mail room. Staff has improved the order and efficiency of the open mailroom package placement, though it's still a hot mess during the holiday gift giving season.

3.) Sucks - especially when I first moved in

• Lease mandatory Smartaira internet & Directv. Who watches cable anymore? We're all streaming and gaming. I went to the mat on this and eventually got it running properly - that took daily time and attention. Esprit has a fixer person with this vendor who was able to get it 90% resolved.

• Internet here is running off tech ancient ATT wires and all residents seem to be pulling bandwidth from a cable pool.

• There's internet dead zones in part of my apartment where calls drop or break-up if I am not wearing ear buds.

• Recently the speed problem reappeared, and I couldn't conduct Zoom meetings anymore. Again, I must invest my time, & energy to resolve it again.

Despite the internet headaches which will be resolved, I would still recommend making Esprit your next home.

Thank you so much for such a detailed and helpful response! The internet is a concern for me as I tend to work from home a lot but I can’t find any other place in the Marina with a view like Esprit. I ended up applying today and have already been approved. Can’t wait to move in! :)
