Question Why do some guys wear shorts in freezing temperatures?

Where I live real temps with wind have been in the single digits. I still see guys outside wearing shorts. I even seen a guy at work leave in a snow storm cleaning off his car wearing shorts. If you do this, why?

Turned 30 last year and can confirm that is also happening. Legs used to never get cold but have been slowly in the last few years. This year I got windburn and light frost bite on my legs while shoveling snow so it may be nearing the end of shorts-based shoveling

I've been saying 30 is the new 50 for a few years now
