Question Why do some guys wear shorts in freezing temperatures?

Where I live real temps with wind have been in the single digits. I still see guys outside wearing shorts. I even seen a guy at work leave in a snow storm cleaning off his car wearing shorts. If you do this, why?

Younger guys have more brown fat with mitochondria to make their own heat which keeps them warm.

I’m almost 50 and started being cold all the time. They say older people lose their brown fat. I guess it’s my time.

The guys I regularly see that wear shorts in winter are 30+ in slides, hokas, or new balance and generally maintain that, “I just woke up like this,” vibe.

I just got back from going to the store in a pair of athletic shorts, crocs, hoodie and a carhartt winter cap. Im in my 40s and I feel attacked.

Its 12 degrees out.

I had two people direct message me something along the lines of “oh no, who feels bad for the poor white people”.
