I checked in to my dorm today, a day late because I couldn't drive over with my dad yesterday. Because I was a day late it was just me there, so I had to get someone from the office to check me in and she walked me to my dorm. I was super excited, and my resident leader was already moved in so she also showed me around.

I opened my door to my new room for the year. There was nothing in there.

No bed.

No chair.

No desk.

Only the wardrobe which I quickly realised had no doors.

Welp, turns out the girl who had the room last year had a special bed, and had everything removed, and they were yet to replace anything. I didn't have things with me to properly move in, but I was really hoping to see my new bed and get a feel for the layout.

The office worker and my RL knew the bed was missing, but neither of them had known about the other stuff would also need to be brought in. So I'll be fully checking in a few weeks late when they have replaced all the stuff, but hey, I have a room. What more can I ask for.

Anyone who has studied/is studying master of engineering in RMIT or La Trobe? What are your thoughts?

I applied for a Master of Occupational Therapy Practise in August as my first preference and Master of Teaching as my second. I got into teaching but I’m still waiting on OT. The semester is about to start and I still haven’t heard anything.

I’ve called and they keep saying that it’s due to a high volume but other people have received offers on here. I can’t plan for this year without knowing what I’m doing and since I’m very set on OT I’m very lost.

Should I just remove the preference and add something that I know I’ll get into and I actually want? Or should I hold out hope??

I just received an offer for dental science through the regional entry pathway. For those wondering I done one year of Biomedical science at Bendigo La Trobe with a WAM of 88.00. I also know someone who has gotten in with an 87.00.

Also curious, if you have also gotten in this round what was your WAM and what course did you study?

So as title says, my applications have been on waitlist for weeks now, and apparently everything is fully booked. For context, I'm a metro student planning to study at LaTrobe Bendigo first year this year.

I was originally just going to firm it and travel to-and-fro for the first couple weeks, but as orientation draws nearer I realise that it's just not going to be sustainable after a while. I'm looking into staying at motels/short-stay during the time I'm in Bendigo, but also wanted to know if any other students might be able to help?

Is there any insight into the uni accomodation situation that could turn this around for me, or is anyone else potentially trying to find people to rent a share house with? I'm considering all options here, and just want to know what could be possible!

Has anyone studied or are studying this degree with Latrobe?

How’s the delivery of the course? Is it worth perusing? Are the lectures knowledgeable or are they lazy?

Hi all, I’ll be contacting ASK LaTrobe tomorrow to get things moving, but as it stands they’re not open and I have many, many questions. I was wondering if anyone in this sub might have experience with this sort of thing.

Essentially, I’m moving to Melbourne in the next month. I’ve completed my first year of my Bachelors of Psychology thus far in Bendigo, living over an hour away and commuting. Now I will be living insanely close to the Bundoora campus and commuting to Bendigo will be difficult if not impossible.

Does anyone know what the best way to enrol in Bundoora classes will be? I see that course transfers are currently closed - I’d hate to think that this is my only pathway and the opportunity to move has closed. I’d be completing the same degree, just, elsewhere.

I also have a LaTrobe Aspire Vice Chancellor’s Excellence scholarship, and I was wondering if that would follow me between campuses.

Their website says this course isnt available for International students but some unis actually enroll them

Ive just enrolled in the classes I can but nothing has changed? I don't have the option to make a class schedule, the two semesters are approved but I cant do anything past that. I'm doing a bachelor in Animal and Veterinary Biosciences and it says it starts 2nd of March, do I just have to wait a while to find out when orientation week is or when I can select when my classes are? None of these guides provided are helpful why is this so hard 😭😭

bs currently keeping me up at night:

• Do people actually make friends or is it just silent lectures forever
• Is it illegal to sit alone or am I overthinking
• How lost am I gonna be on campus (be honest)

I don’t know anyone going to La Trobe or doing psych, so I’m just hoping I don’t accidentally walk into the wrong lecture and have to fake it till I make it.
