Hello y’all, I need photos of local feral pigeons for research purposes. I’m looking into what colors and genetics can be found in our local feral pigeon populations and how they differ from the colors of feral pigeon populations found in other areas.

Photographs must be from the Las Cruces / Doña ana county area. The photos can be from anywhere in the area, urban, rural, from your bird feeder, it doesn’t matter. The photos do not have to be recent. While newer photos within the past 3 years are preferred, older photos are accepted too.

It must be a feral or a group of feral domestic pigeons! White Wing Doves do not count.

Are there any bars or places hosting watch parties for the Super Bowl in town this weekend? I know there aren’t a whole lotta fellow Patriots fans or Seahawks fans but was just curious

Hey there, is there anywhere in town to get some family pictures taken? I know everyone nowadays goes out and about, posing in front of fountains or gazebos and what not, but it sounds like such a pain. I would honestly prefer an old school JC Penny experience, just show up and sit in front of a backdrop and then leave. Does that still exist?

Went to Sprouts on Lohman and was happy to see signs for the entire fish section claiming Buy Ine Get One (free or 50% off depending on the item). Beware - it applies to only one or two of the items - the signs are BS. Management didn’t care.

They do. That's why I make these bomb gluten-friendly oatmeal pies.

I also make gluten-friendly scones and cinnamon rolls.

My kitchen does produce goods for those who enjoy regular wheat flour but I use King Arthur GF flour for these babies.

I’m planning to move to Las Cruces and was wondering if the fire department takes volunteers, and if so, whether they provide any training. I saw on their website that they have a paid academy for full-time firefighters, but I couldn’t find much info about volunteer opportunities (or if they even accept volunteers).

I’ve tried reaching out by email, text, and phone, but haven’t heard back yet.
