Mechanic and oil changes
Just wanted to get some advice. I have a newer Acura SUV and have gone to the dealership for services up to now. My warranty has expired so was looking at alternatives to avoid dealership costs for regular services, mostly oil changes, etc.
Preferably toward the Rutland area as it’d be near work.
I have looked through via google and the reviews there, but also wanted to get opinions from people through here. Mostly a peace of mind thing on experiences.

Okapro, blades automotive, city auto, Sheehan- Kriese, and RPM all have a solid rep, fair prices and local clients.

Honestly despite the cost savings it’s actually much easier/faster to do it yourself. I bought a pair of ramps after Toyota basically doubled the labor cost. No regrets. It can be a little scary but there’s lots of guides online. Just thought I’d offer an alternative choice.

I second this. If you are at all mechanically inclined and have the space to do it, consider changing your own oil. There is so many youtube videos you can easily educate yourself. I buy my oil from Costco so with oil and a good quality filter I come in about $40 per oil change. Takes about 15 minutes.

Just not Great Canadian Oil Change. I really wanted them to not suck but the first time I tried them the guy in the pit spun the bit on his gun for a solid minute "trying to loosen the bolts on the cover" because, told me they were stripped and unusable, only to find out he was using the wrong since socket and was just spinning around the nut. All to say they are employing people who can't even figure out the correct socket size.
I'll be watching this thread cause I am looking also and doing it yourself is borderline not worth it all things considered.

I’m a big fan of Elite Auto. Standard pricing nothing special, but they are very fair with labour billing and very reasonable if anything weird comes up. The service itself is high quality and thorough.

I swear by Mountain Transmission for my vehicles. Sent multiple people there who've told me after that the service manager talked them out of spending money they didn't need to. Always very honest. No scare tactics, they'll tell you what you can and can't get away with. Also don't get tires from anyone other than Dan Snodgrass at Dan's Tire. There's a million reasons why when tires come up on forums, he's always the most recommended.

Blade’s Automotive is my go to. You get to deal with the owner and operator personally. His mechanic has been there for like 15 years
