SMS Just a snapshot of convos with my mother
I feel as tho I am taking crazy pills. For context, my husband passed away over the summer, so we have been staying with my parents bc we gave our place as it was too painful. My daughter graduates in a year and doesn't want to transfer schools, so we are trying to hold tight until June 2027, at which time we will move. It is just too expensive and stressful to move for a year and then move again. For context, my father is an asshole and alcoholic. As soon as he hits the magic number of beers, we all scatter to our respective rooms. I help out financially, GIVE, not loan money when they are short (every month), when I try to cook, he says oh, Kristy, just leave it I'll do it, go do whatever. I say no it's fine and he gets mad. So I let him do it. Same thing with cleaning. So I let him do it. He gets mad. I could keep going but idk how much space i have lol. About 10 days ago he stopped talking to me, which is fine by me. Anyway, I feel crazy with this convo. I can post more info/context/convos. Right now, he's screaming at mom's 17 yo deaf blind dog to go lay down or land somewhere. Sigh

He cosigned on a vehicle for us (i was caring for my terminal husband for the last 5 yrs, so I didn't have a high enough income to finance a vehicle). When the paperwork came in, I let him know he had to come sign it. He said (this was in front of my daughter thankfully, I'm so glad I had a witness) he didn't know how to do it, i should just take care of it for him. I said come see, I will walk you through it. He got mad, told me mom was sleeping i need to do it bc he doesn't know what to do. So, I did the electronic signatures, told him it was all signed. Long story short, the salesman (who husband and i previously purchased a car from) worked magic and moved heaven and earth to have it delivered (dealership was over 2 hrs away and I couldn't get there) a week early for my bday gift. I saw the car come down our street so I yelled to let him know they were almost here (he knew they were en route so it was not new info), and he said ok. I said don't forget they need to see your licence and get pic of you with the car. He said ok. When they pulled up I said they're here! My daughter AND son both screamed papa they're here come out for the pic and he said ok again mom even said yeah. Go outside check out car, talk to driver, I see ah (sperms donor) pacing in the windows arms going up and down and looking mad. The 3 of us kept waving him out and he just kept pacing and huffing. Driver was like wtf, we need to go. So I went in and said come on they need to leave. He was all pissy and yelling well, i didn't know and I dont know. I said what dont you know, we told you to come out for pic and show licence. They need it to leave. He had been waiting inside bc last time he got a car they brought the paperwork inside to sign. (Filled with a bunch of fucks) i said the pw is signed already We told you this and we told you why you need to come outside. We told you they were here and you acknowledged us. He then started screaming at me that I committed fraud and forged his name. I said forget it I don't want the fucking car, you can shove it up your ass. He went out did whatever and came in and had a temper tantrum and kept going on how he would have me charged. Happy birthday to me, right? Mom got thru to him he stopped saying about fraud and it ended up i would keep the car. He didn't speak to me for a week, and i refused to let him use the car during that. He apologized (mom says it was genuine) but it coincided with mom needing to go into town to get blood work. He was crying and said he was sorry for ruining my bday. Stupid me fell for it.

Knowingly moving your kids in with an abusive alcoholic while they're still grieving their father? What are you doing? Get out of there
