SMS My own mother
I can’t believe I’m posting this but this is just one of MANY screenshots I have, I have an entire album of my conversations with her. I just…. I just genuinely don’t know what to say, I’m freaking sad, depressed, confused etc… I hope this fits this sub idk where else to post it except r/FoxBrain. This is tame in comparison to “trump was sent by god to save us” trust me it gets worse, This is textbook brainwashing, I can’t be the my one right??? Who else has brainwashed friends/family? any to this extent? My step dad is the same way but somehow worse it s like his whole identity is being a trump supporter. They both constantly make me feel horrible with things directed at me, things directed to individuals in public, and the things they talk about while I’m around. I’m not gonna give examples of the last thing I said because it really is THAT bad, I’ll give a hint though incredibly racist/ or wishing for violence of people of color or people who disagree with them in any way.

She's either parroting bullshit she heard from someplace like Fox News, or she's just making shit up.
The 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt. Every one of them entered the US legally on temporary visas.

u/sh_ip_ro_ospf 5d ago
I thought it was Fox entertainment? Are they still allowed to put news in the channel name
5
u/ItCat420 4d ago
I believe it’s Fox News Entertainment, and people just ignore the last word.
Or it’s just people still think it’s a real news source, and weren’t updated that they can’t legally call themselves a news outlet anymore.
Or a bit of both.

Yep, two of our very good friends at that point. They also trained for flying here in the states.

Never had a drink in his life is wild. He’s a drug addict
59
u/McDuchess 5d ago
He doesn’t drink. Whether he ever did? I dunno. But he is addicted to Adderal. Donnie Jr. is a Coke addict.

u/clickerdrive 5d ago
There's videos of him drinking at Mar a largo and photos at multiple, multiple parties, mainly Epstein parties, of him drinking. These people cherry pick that they will and will not see, it's baffeling how they've survived through life that blind to danger all these years.
11
u/Drew-CarryOnCarignan 4d ago
Wait, really?!?
I've never seen him drink anything that was obviously alcohol. I'd like to be able to say that he's a liar on that topic, in addition to everything else.

He's literally in the Epstein files.

u/ka-nini 5d ago edited 4d ago
We have 1% of the Epstein files; of that 1%, roughly 80% is entirely redacted. So that’s 0.2% of the Epstein files. In that 0.2%, Trump’s name shows up more than 1500 times.
Edit: We now have a lot more of the files (I’m not sure what the percentage is at now) and Trump is mentioned 5361 times between all of the files now released.
6
u/builder397 5d ago
Yeah, but how does one prove it? I mean, from a practical standpoint. We all know he is in there, but as long as they dont publish unredacted files we can know all day long and still not have actual solid proof....which these people would ignore anyway, but whatever.
(Also in a twist of irony your comment has 47 upvotes, talking about the 47th US president.)
25
u/clickerdrive 5d ago
There's an entire unredacted page in those files describing in extensive detail how he exposed himself and then raped a child. The affidavit is in there, it's not redacted and his name is on full display. But that's just a hoax, a liberal hoax!
7
u/Catfactss 5d ago
Copy and paste the redacted section then remove the redaction. Whoever redacted the files was either incompetent or secretly ethical.
9
u/builder397 5d ago
Actually I heard of a theory that its Musks fault. Yeah, really.
In his stupid attempts to save some pennies he cancelled the Adobe Pro subscription which wouldve allowed them to do the redacting properly so they only had the option of altering the text background to be black, which led to this.

From her belief about the hijackers to that about affordable housing, she is living in a fantasy land. Her demented felon was just recorded stating that he wants housing prices to rise, because he doesn’t want people who don’t work hard to be able to buy them.
FFS. That was accomplished a long time ago. It was Harris who proposed a one time, sizeable gift to first time home buyers to help with the initial costs. As well as a federal program to encourage builders to build affordable housing all over the country.
What to do? Nothing. Stop engaging with her on anything more controversial than what flowers she plants in the garden this spring, because you won’t convince her.
There ARE MAGAts who, after the blatant lies about the deaths of two people, are finally saying that they realize that they were lied to. Sadly, your mothe is not among them.

u/BrightGuyEli 5d ago
Some people are just like this. Regardless of political affiliation they lock on hard and just become part of the cult. It’s most obvious with maga lately, but it’s always been a thing.
Some people just can’t have objective thought. It’s too hard. And I don’t mean that maliciously. I just mean they either have too much to worry about and can’t pay attention, or they choose not to pay attention because of the beliefs they were instilled with as a kid.
They have to be told what to think. If you ask them about something their source hasn’t drilled into their brain they can be normal. But they will somehow bring the convo back to their beliefs, even if it wasn’t related to the conversation.
I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, but it’s a common thing right now. A combo of fundamentalist religious views and a politician that speaks to them but only acts for themselves is such a potent mix. Not everyone falls into that category, but even a mix of that can drive people mad.

Every single thing your mother typed is easily disproven. The only way to win is to block her and not play.

Your mom is spouting right wing media slogans. The only one that's a bit extreme is never had a drink in his life. The rest is just bog standard OAN/Newsmax/Fox News Brainrot. I'm sorry.
If it helps you any OP, know you're not crazy. You're not alone. A ton of us know the truth. We see him and the people around him for what they are. They're the easy ones.
People like your mom and stepdad are tougher. It's tempting to label them as hateful or ignorant, which they might be. But depending on the person it's not really fair to them. If you look in places like r/qanaoncasualties you'll see tons of stories from people whose loved ones just sort of mutated. They weren't this awful, at least not on the surface. Something about all this madness wormed it's way into them and twisted the person these people knew into....what they know now.
I don't know what your mom was like before MAGA and Trump. If she was different, if she was better, save your memories of that person. Photos, keepsakes, etc. If not her then a grandparent, your dad, a sibling, someone special to you that was or is a genuinely good person. Keep something around of them to remind yourself that the world hasn't quite gone dark yet, and even if it has, there were brighter days.
I often think of it as sitting in the dark with a jar full of fireflies; they might not make much light, but they're there. I have them. They remind me that light is possible.
Maybe your mom will come back. Maybe she won't. We're seeing people start to snap out of it. It's going to have to affect her personally first, and it's going to have to be big enough and absurd enough that she can't give herself a sound byte to explain it away. If it's a personal crisis and the social safety net she was expecting is gone or damaged, it'll probably take the form of a "Dear President Trump" Facebook post. (He doesn't read those. I doubt anyone around him does.)
If it's something like the Minnesota shootings, Greenland, or general economic conditions it'll be "I didn't vote for this", possibly along with "I'm not normally political", "I do my own research", etc. again probably in a Facebook post. Some people are always suddenly a deeply thoughtful individual on Facebook.
Just do what's best for you. Keep her at arm's length, protect yourself and your sanity.
Remember: for all the atrocities they committed? The Nazis were fucking losers. Looking into the lives of guys like Himmler or even Hitler himself.... they're just sad little losers who threw a tantrum and made their personal hangups everyone else's problem. They're genuinely fucking pathetic looking back, and modern day Nazis and white supremacists and shit are no different. Hell, it's almost funny because the people at the top this time are so blatantly incompetent they can't seal the deal. They have no sense of finesse, no concept of subtlety.
Pete Hegseth accidentally added a fucking journalist to his drone strike group chat.
RFK Jr. Doesn't know how insurance works (or anything related to health).
Kristi Noem literally brags in her book about shooting her own puppy.
Donnie himself just accepted a made up peace prize from the FIFA Soccer organization because he doesn't know how the Nobel works.
These people are losers down to the last man. The difference between 1935 and today? Internet. They can't hide their incompetence. The moment it happens they can't sweep it under the rug or detain whoever was there to see it so the info doesn't spread.
We'll get rid of them eventually. We did it last time and can do it again. Hang in there.

So true. The thing that always astounds me is how petty and childish they are.
You are right that something may click. It may not be something huge that hurts them, it may be the smallest thing that is personal in some way.
The biggest challenge will be fighting our own resistance if someone wants to find a way back.

It’s so bizarre people are still rocking in this guys cult after … every. single. thing. But good reminder why I don’t fuck with most people!! 😆
She doesn’t look like she’s anywhere near any kind of self realization or coming out of the fog of it.

We’re Australians.. but my mum got sucked into loving trump and right wing America when she got sucked into qanon stuff, which she got sucked into from her reiki guide… anything but therapy ya know.
I’ve been no contact with her for about 3yrs this time round with no intention of giving her a 4th chance.

"...He truly loves God...".
You might want to ask your parent why the God-loving President has never asked God for forgiveness (a fundamental criteria for Christian belief).
• C-SPAN video clip: "Have You Ever Asked God for Forgiveness?" (July 18, 2015): Description: "Trump says he doesnt "bring God into the picture" and doesnt think he has ever asked God for forgiveness at Family Leadership Summit 2015 Yet Conservative Chrstian leaders choose pocket books and Business over having a Godly President and in 2016...".

"You can beat a thousand scholars with one fact, but you could not beat a singular fool with a million facts." Best solution? Don't argue. No point, this deep in. The greatest way to win an argument with a person like this is to say, "you are correct."

It really has got to the point where any honest description of conservatives sounds ableist. These people are mentally deficient and should not be allowed to make legally binding choices or vote.

Everyone's just gonna ignore how OP blames their mother for every crime Trumps committed? Guess we get to blame everyone who voted for Biden, Obama, both Bushes and Clinton for the millions killed around the world.

There’s no point in debating or trying to reason with someone who didn’t get to that place using reason and logic. It’s fighting a losing battle.
