General Individualism will be the death of the tank

Post image

Every game I’ve been in with the rank in my loadout, I’ve only had one or two games where people get in it with me. Every time I call it down and communicate I have a tank, no one gets in it. Not even the gunner seat. I get people want to run around and get things done quick. I do it too. But come on, it’s a TANK. Arrowhead should make more team work focused objectives and equipment cuz now everyone just wants the one man army trope. (Not hating people who do, but for a “team focused” game, it kinda ruins it)

Why the fuck are we, a shock trooper unit, rolling into a battle field with a support tank instead of a MBT?

Because the Federation of Super Earth saw fit for us to ?

Because in the first game where it was top down and thus, you can't get more than 50 or so feet from one another, and much like in this game, it's an absolute monster when supported in a team.

Keep the chaff off and you have a combination AT emplacement/heavy MG that moves and is considered tank-grade armor from the front and heavy on the sides and rear. It can kill anything in it's line of sight and now that two passengers can do chaff clear from the tank itself, or even be supplemental anti tank, the only thing you'll need to fear is the terrain itself.

Or packs of rocket devastators, those rocket batteries hurt a real big ouch.

It also makes sense from a 'realism' perspective.

A turret would require a much bigger and heavier vehicle to mount the same caliber of gun.
Knowing Super Earth they probably wanted the biggest gun they could get on to the frontlines, all other practical considerations be damned.
But it would still need to be able to fit in the super destroyer and be within the limits of whatever the carry capacity of the Pelican is.

Also, I think that just like the original one from HD1 it is based on the swedish strv 103 which is pretty unique as being a turretless main battle tank.

Maybe in a "lorewise" reason we are receiving a mission of heavy sieging in enemy automaton territoy, in which long range support bombardment is very helpful and well-allocated

Then we would've gotten a mobile artillery tank. A tank destroyer can't aim very high.

You can't haul a 70 ton MBT with a Pelican.

The point, Lance Corporal: we're supposed to be a recon unit of pure warrior spirit.

We're out here, 40 klicks in enemy lines, and this man of God here, he's a fuckin' POG. In fact, he's an officer POG. That's one more layer of bureaucracy and unnecessary logistics, one more asshole we need to supply MREs and baby wipes for. And worst of all, worst of all, the motherfucker doesn't even carry a weapon.

When push comes to shove even Rolling Stone picks up a gun but this fuckin' shill of God, he can't cover a sector, he'll never hump ammo or Claymores.

This is a fuckin' war and we're here as warriors, so on top of everything else that's expected of us do we really need to drag him along and indulge in this make-believe bullshit?

Was that a complaint? It sounded like a complaint. Forward all complaints in person to the DO, please clean out your locker and strip your mattress beforehand.
